More Cowbell, I'll be there, as well as Trisky, MoG, and SCBWannabe. I'm sure others from here are going to go as well, but those are the ones I know for sure.
For the Clay fans: did you guys hear about the South Jersey school children who are suing Clay for "verbal abuse"?? Funniest thing I've ever heard!
LOL yes I did hear that. Not sure about the validity of it...I'm waiting to hear back from some inside sources of mine (how sad is that, I have an "in" with Clay Aiken, hee), but I would crack up if it were true. I completely believe Clay's a pissy diva bitch, so if he snapped at some kids, I could *crack* up.
It's on Irving Place which makes the name Irving Plaza really groovy if you ask me. :P
Seriously, it's on 15th and Irving Plaza a couple of blocks away from Union Square. Gavin Creel and Daphne Rubin Vega are also performing that night.
Oh pft. Would the devil willingly go to a Clay Aiken concert?
If they were trying to convert some good little children they might! Besides Clay is one of the devil's minions, who else could brainwash people (hence why he is asexual, so he's no threat to boys or girls) into doing almost anything without ever so much as uttering a single curse word? (Other than Barry Manilow that is...)
I'm seriously considering going to the Kitchen Sink 2 concert, but I won't know anyone there at all.
More Cowbell we all don't actually know each other either, we just get together and plan our PM's so our stories match. Hee! Seriously, you should go, there will be plenty of us there to support Jenna, Michael and John (on the condition John leaves his mullet wig at home).

Fishergirl, have you ever posted on a Clay message board called the "Clack house" or something of the sort... I used to post there a loooooooong time ago (before I started hating all things AI) and your name looks so familiar.
And yes, I definitely need to see John in this mullet! I've already seen him in drag (Hairspray)... the mullet can't be any more hillarious. *goes to buy ticket*
Oy, More Cowbell. I can't believe I'm going to actually admit to this. While not a Clackhouse poster, I do post at, basically, it's sister site - the ezPRoC. Both message boards are an off-shoot of the Clay fans that posted on televisionwithoutpity.com.
I just wanted to give you all a heads up about Jesus Christ Superstar! You all should really check it out if the tour stops near you.
I saw it last night and I didn’t really know what to expect since I had never seen it before (only heard some of the score) and I had heard mixed reactions to the modern adaptation. Happy to report that I really enjoyed it! Now, I can’t speak for the original production, but I feel that having the show updated gives it a lot more relevance to today and its great to see such originality in a revival. The cast is great! Watching them from a crappy seat it was still very obvious that they were all giving 110% the entire time. AND, REMEMBER any chance to catch Scott Allgauer is reason enough to go! Total sweetheart and was really a standout ensemble member. Uhm, so yeah...GO! :)

Thanks for letting us know hon. It sounds like you had a VERY good time!
YAY for Scott. Can't wait to see the show in January. :)

Now we just have to come up with a way to and fro, since the lovely fishergirl has a conflict that day. *frets*
No no no, no fretting! I will not allow it! I feel horrible about having to pull out, especially since I was the ride, so I will not leave you stranded! I'm going to talk to my friend up in CT - he's very familiar with the whole train system up there, so I will get him to give me DETAILED, SIMPLIFIED directions on where to catch the train, what stop to get off at, etc etc, so you guys don't get all confuzzled.
I'm going. Only the 7 o'clock though. So excited! The first BARE cast event I'll actually be able to attend.

I'll be at both shows, but probably in the bathroom heaving up the first round of drinks to make room for the second round of drinks for the second show. Come say hi!
BTW, Jess I got your holiday card today and I will treasure your stick figures forever!

Yay! Lesson learned: don't ever try to draw at 2 a.m. (Just me, I'm sure others are perfectly capable of doing so.)

Trisky you take all the fun! how do you find out all this exciting news so soon! Oh any idea what the Hot Aussie Composer Boy is up to?
How do I find all this exciting news? Basically I scroll up and read the top of the board. You should try it some time!
As for Hot Australian Composer Boy, a.k.a. HACB, I believe there are archaic laws against the kinds of things I've heard he's been up to. Oh and composing too.

Sure, I finally move East and Michael goes West...

What wonderful news! Of course, NYC will miss Michael dearly while he's gone, but I'm sure he'll have fun escaping a cold January and enjoy the warm California air. I only wish I was there to catch his performance...and enjoy the sun.

Hi! Alright I am a newly professed Bare fan and "Ardenite". This is really not fair.. I move to NYC in 25 days FROM los angeles and he is coming here?! and not only that the UCLA Geffen Theatre is literally 5 min away from me...man... I hope he hurries back to NY right after that and does some shows out there so I can get a chance to FINALLY see him.
The theatre is one of the most expressive and useful instruments for the edification of a country; it is also the barometer which makes its greatness or its descent. A theatre which is sensitive and well oriented in all its branches from tragedy to vaudeville can in a few years change the sensibilty of the people; theatre which has been destroyed, in which cloven hooves take the place of wings, can put to sleep an entire nation. A people that does not aid and encourage its theatre is moribund if not dead; the theatre which does not gather to itself the best of society, of history, the drama of its people and the genuine color of its landscape and its spirit, with laughter or tears, does not deserve to call itself theatre, but rather a place for that horrible thing which is called killing time.- Federico Garcia Lorca
