Wondering if anyone knows when the fall collection period will begin on Broadway? Also curious about etiquette: if they're selling signed merch, will actors at stage door no longer sign merch (that was bought at the theater but isn't BCEFA stuff)? Thanks!

It starts Friday Oct. 20th. I don't know about stage door signing.
The Wicked tour has been collecting on and off since September 29th
I come next weekend, so excited to know collections start this weekend!
I love a good Broadway Cares speech so I am always excited for the two times a year this comes around, also because it's fun to see what shows come up with to sell. In reference to the question about cast members not signing things at stage door because of Broadway Cares - I've never seen anyone in my experience not sign an item like a poster during Broadway Cares just because it was not a Broadway Cares item.

A good amount of actors, including Glenn Close this past spring, have not come out to sign at the stage door at all during collection time.
Bumping...
Anyone know what they're selling at Hello Dolly? Also, unlike Cheno, I doubt Springsteen would partipicate, right?

Last night at Dolly, DHP gave the speech and then cast members (including Gavin Creel) were in the back with buckets. Nothing for sale. Not sure if it's different when Bette is in the show.

Springsteen already raised over $1 million for Broadway Cares from sales for his opening night performance & after party (he donated 200 seats to be sold by Broadway Cares) so I don't believe he will also be participating in the collections.

I remember Gavin doing the red buckets at Book of Mormon too. Creel is a rock star!
I went to A Bronx Tale and Anastasia over the weekend and they are offering the following:
A Bronx Tale: Buttons of the characters from the show [$5], a signed Playbill [$20], Carols for A Cure [$20], and a signed poster [$60].
Anastasia: Carols for A Cure [$20], a signed playbill [$40], and a signed poster [$100].
Dolly is selling signed Playbills for $500 and signed posters for $1000!
Does anyone know when collection time ends? I've never been to a show during collection time and would love too, but my next Broadway/Tour shows aren't until towards the end of November. Also, does the Book Of Mormon national tour do collections?

When I went to the Book of Mormon tour three years ago at this time of year (the 24th of October), i seem to recall them doing it. I had actually forgotten until I saw Hello Dolly last week and they did it and like a flashback moment I was like: Oh, yeah! TBoM did this too at this time of year!
Generally collections end about a week before Gypsy of the Year - which this year is December 4th and 5th, so my guess is sometime around the very end of November. Book of Mormon on tour definitely does collect - I got a photo with David Larsen (the Elder Price on tour at the time) in costume during collection time while it was in Philadelphia over the holidays a few years ago.

That's great! I'm seeing Dear Evan Hansen November 25th, but I'm assuming that all the stuff they are selling will be very expensive but I'm still excited to see what they have.
double post!

The tour goes all out, usually because they have more room than at the O'Neill. If the elders aren't taking pictures, you can probably get one with Satan and/or Jesus. :)

Collections end the day before, so Sunday Dec 3 will be the last day. Of course, individual shows may stop selling things a few days before that if they have run out and don't want or have time to go through the whole signing process again.

Last year during one of the collection periods, the BOM tour had General BFN and his henchmen in the lobby. It was so amazing, I doubled the requested contribution

DEH was auctioning off the signed cast from the show during this summer's collection period.
