Glad this was recorded. A shame it is not catching on and bearing a miracle will close prematurely. Will get it as soon as it becomes available. This makes me miss Virgin in Times Square
Rocky is promoting like crazy and it may be working. The advertising budget for Bridges is miniscule. For some reason, it is not exciting people. I am sure it will have a healthy life on tour and in regional theater.
I think their marketing team is just really bad at their job. The way they are marketing the show does not show the show as it truly is. It makes it seem like a cheesy soap opera. I have friends who didn't want to see the show based on the marketing; somehow, I convinced them to go and they loved the show. I feel like this show has so much potential if they knew how to advertise it.
I don't really think it's a problem with advertising. The general public just really seems to not have much interest in seeing this show, for whatever reason that may be. Especially considering that so many new shows are opening at the moment. It's getting lost in the crowd.
Exactly and with increasing prices, people pick and choose their shows more carefully. Some fall by the wayside. Unfortunately, this appears to be one of them.
Honestly, I wouldn't even want to see the show based solely on their ads. It just doesn't look appealing or catchy. Luckily, I saw the show because I try to make my rounds on Broadway and see everything. But I feel like they need to find a way to make themselves stand out from the crowd; they can potentially do this since they do have good material to work with.
Can’t wait for this. I have been listening to the free stream of “Falling into You” on their website over and over again. And, as powerful and full as it is on the recording, I couldn’t believe how it was even more so live. Sitting in the audience and hearing those voices sing these songs was thrilling – hoping it stays open long enough for me to go again!
There is a Broadway Offers promotion (BRNRLNDR2) where if you buy a ticket for performances between now at April 20, your will-call-only tickets will have a business card in the envelope with instructions on how to register to get a download code that will work on April 15.
A few days after submitting my information, I got a confirmation e-mail that they received my information, and my contact details would be sent to Sh-K-Boom who would send the download information to me directly.
Plus, I got my front row, side orchestra seat using this code, which never came up with others. Not sure if that is connected to this specific code or not... but I had delayed seeing bridges until I got a killer seat, and this code sorted that out for me.
