For anyone who has not followed this one: it is Jethro Compton and Darren Clark's folk-musical version of the Fitzgerald story, and the London production was built on actor-musicians -- the whole company plays. That staging conceit is either going to be the thing everyone raves about or the thing that reads as twee to a New York crowd. I genuinely cannot predict it.

An extension before opening usually means one of two things: real advance demand, or a producer building runway for a commercial transfer. Which do we think this is?

It's heavily rumored to be transferring to Broadway.


A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
