Betty Gilpin joins OH, MARY as Mary Todd Lincoln. Extended through June 28th, 2025!

Thrilled that the production has extended through the Tonys.
I wonder if Cole is planning on coming back after Betty's limited run ends in March, or if they're planning to start the cycle of casting new Marys from here on out.

They extended longer than I initially had heard, so I’m thinking they might have someone for a few weeks after Gilpin and then Cole returns in time for the Tony season.
Also, this is now the third “closing” performance I have purchased tickets to. 😝

The plan is for Cole to return back sometime in the Spring. So there may be another Mary Todd Lincoln replacement announced after Gulping leaves.

I wonder if Hannah will stay with the show as well, if she'll be going on again soon, and if they are hiring a second u/s for Mary Todd Lincoln. The show will now have run an entire year and I'm sure each cast member will have upcoming vacations planned.

This is crazy, I was just googling her the other day to see what she was up to.

There’s already a second cover for Mary/Mary’s Chaperone, I believe. I can’t remember her name, but the show did post about her on one of their Instagram stories. She may have just been a vacation cover while Cole was out for a couple days and Hannah was Mary, as she’s not on the website or listed on IBDB, but I know I saw it.

I only know Betty from GLOW but she certainly stood out to me; I can't picture her as Mary but in Cole I trust.

This will surely be a test of if the play can stand on its own. I cannot imagine any market research showing Betty as someone able to sell tickets. Then again, neither had Cole, but they are now singular with the production. Will be interesting to see its grosses for those weeks.

Just close it without Cole forget it

Thankfully, you’re not a producer.

Such an underrated talent. Curious casting but I love it!

Why not extend it with replacements when it's sold out every show since the first preview. And Cole is reportedly returning to the show at some point.

It’s already made back its investment. Likely could run at 75% capacity for a long time.

I was hoping the replacement didn't involve a google search for me and everyone I know.
But the play will still hold up.

I had to Google the name as well. Feb and March tend to be the slower months on Broadway so we’ll see how this goes. Rooting for Betty Gilpin!

I have no clue who this is.

Definitely a surprising casting choice- was definitely expecting somebody with downtown roots or energy. But the production is an unequivocal hit so I imagine tickets will still be move at a decent clip. Curious to see how Gilpin does!

I think the dates when Hannah Solow performed were eventually sold out too (not sure if all remaining unsold tix eventually became rush tickets day of but I don’t recall seeing Oh Mary on TKTS.) I am hoping the play can stand on its own.

I'm just hoping it'll be easier to secure a ticket with Gilpin in the role. I've lost their online lottery three times.

Oh, I love her! Not sure if this will get me back in the theater (living on my first year of retirement, and have spent so much money this season!) but good for them. Hope they continue with their success.

The additional cover is Jackie Sanders.
