Does anyone know who will be in the Book of Mormon in the sit down Chicago cast? I have a ticket for December and am really curious. I know that the national tour announced their cast list a while ago.
David Aaron Damane, Donell James Foreman and Cessalee Stovall are in the ensemble.

As of last month they were still looking for Cunninghams.
David Aron Damane is the General, so not really ensemble.
Hardy Weaver is an Elder. http://ddoagency.com/location.php?location_id=3

Is there any update or news on this? Any news on the leads?
A friend of mine is in the ensemble, but as far as I know, nothing public on the leads yet.
Patrice Covington, who played Effie in the latest Dreamgirls tour, I've heard is in the ensemble.
I saw Patrice go on as Effie! She could SANG. Good for her!
My friend Cessalee is in the ensemble. Thats all I know. I imagine a press release will come out soon. Im going January 20th, cant wait to see it again!

Bump. Any news regarding the leads? I'm seeing the first preview in Dec. 11 for my birthday.
I don't know if this means they struck out with their earlier round of Cunningham auditions, but they had auditions in Boston, Seattle and San Francisco as late as mid-late September.

And they're still not done: Atlanta auditions next week for the Chicago Cunningham. Huh.

A good friend of mine (who is currently in the Broadway cast) got offered and accepted the role of Elder Price. It just hasn't been released yet in an official announcement. They're still auditioning for Cunninghams this upcoming week.
I know who has been offered and accepted the Cunningham standby...sort of surprised he hasn't been offered the main Cunningham. But, who knows what goes down in the minds of the powers that be.

Anything yet on casting? Aren't they supposed to start rehearsing soon anyway?

I would have thought a release on the principle casting would have made the rounds now, seeing as they have to start rehearsing soon. Right?
They start Nov. 1.
maybe Nick Spangler as Elder Price??
I doubt it; he's never even gone on on Broadway.
What in fresh hell! http://kcmetropolis.org/issue/october-10-2012/article/upcoming-auditions28
Wow, talk about last-minute. And it's not like it's a hard role to cast...it ain't Billy Elliot.
It's interesting. They have cast a very wide net in seeking people to fill the casts in these shows. Maybe just another example of Parker and Stone doing it their way.

Disagree that it isn't a "hard role to cast." It seems to be quite difficult to find exactly what they're looking for. Have to actually have acting chops, not just a Jack Black impression.
