I'm guessing it's because Jon Stewart and David Letterman's quotes aren't relevant anymore? Incredible how this show has remained such a huge hit with no B-roll used, really only one live performance, and one commercial!!

They're swings and probably just weren't on the night you went (so wouldn't have been on the insert).
any idea who's replacing Creel as Elder Price??? He's set to leave shortly for SHE LOVES ME.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I had heard about Kyle taking over some time ago but after that whole Pippin thing was afraid to say anything unless it was officially announced. I saw Kyle as Elder Price and he was fantastic.
the show is selling out daily, there's really no need to resort to stunt casting anytime soon. I'm actually hoping that once the 1st national tour closes in May, that Billy Tighe & A.J. Holmes take over.

Is it safe to assume Chris o'neil is extending since we only heard about a price replacement?

Good for him! I saw Ryan at the Pantages back in May '14 when he went on for David Larsen. He was so very, very good that I went round to the stage door to tell him. He was incredibly appreciative and told me that it was only his 14th performance in the role. He has a lot more experience now, so I don't doubt he'll be terrific.
Also of possible interest to this thread: Nic Rouleau's last performance on the West End is January 30.
@Sutton, is that a joke or an actual rumor?? I can't believe it is true, at any rate. Colfer has been saying for years that he's constantly being offered Broadway roles. But he said pretty recently that he won't deign to appear as a "replacement." If I'm recalling correctly, he was adamant that he will only do Broadway if he can originate a role. (Is Tony-nomination potential what he requires?) So, it's not BOM.
I saw Kyle's first (principal) show yesterday which was especially interesting after having also seen Gavin's last! Kyle was great, I really enjoy what he did with the role and it was fun to see a Price that can more convieniently pass for 19 (not that the older Prices aren't amazing)! I'll definitely be seeing him again during his run. and the other leads and ensemble were wonderful as always. It was especially great to see Nick Spangler back on that stage, too.
Hi, funhamilton_rent! I'm glad you came to this thread after starting a new one unnecessarily.
To answer you: I saw Kyle Selig go on for Gavin back in the summer and he was fantastic. Very agile voice, super funny, and looks 19. Daniel Breaker is great (if kinda young) and Nikki Renee Daniels is as cute as you can imagine.

I can (maybe unnecessarily) confirm that Kyle looks 19 and his voice is great and his acting and physicality are amazing. If you look a few replies back I went into slightly more detail.
Daniel and Nikki are both great, Nikki's Sal Tlay Ka Siti makes me cry every single time and I've seen it 7 times! Everyone else is fantastic as well- you'll have a lot of fun seeing this cast.
yep, Nic Rouleau is returning to the Broadway cast as Elder Price. Though in the press release it says he'll be playing the role opposite Chris O'Neal. I wonder if O'Neal is returning after just a few weeks off??

also, the Book of Mormon will officially launch a production in Sweden in 2017. This will be the show's first non-English production. I wonder if this will lead to other non-English versions? Germany? Japan? Korea?
This production will open in January 2017, the same time the Australian production is set to open.

That's the same theatre that did the first non-replica Jersey Boys, so I guess it shouldn't surprise me! I never really considered it would ever be done not in English, though.
And yay Nic! Is Kyle going to be the standby again? They usually have two these days, and Gabe Gibbs is going back on tour.
