So much for "queer joy." The people putting this dirt on their socials immediately are just showing what low class trash they really are. If I was the man daily going beyond my pay scale to do endless promotion for the show, while in the background having to deal with real cattiness, I wouldn't bother with the after party either.

Sydney wasn't doing anything most of the other cast wasn't doing for Socials as well.

Basically, around awards season, the worst in a lot of people started to come out. Producers became more demanding of their company, some of the creative team wereinclined to blame the cast as a whole for crumbling dynamics and morale (resulting from drama, injuries, illness, etc.), and cast members were competing for the spotlight in what is arguably one of the largest ensemble musicals in the canon. face it - the audience appeal was too narrow

and we still have yet to see some documentation on what is causing broadway musicals to be so expensive to mount

it Is because the ones receiving an outsized slice of the pie dont want you to know

because they dont want to lose it

stop whining and start demanding accountability

this is precisely because there are issues on both sides of the fence

we have become so polarized as a society that every issue is now binary

so trying to find multiple pathways for a solution is apparently schizophrenic

u r an example of someone who has fallen victim to the oligarchs

who pit us against each other

and while we are busy fighting on chat boards

they are committing daylight robbery and further enriching themselves

time to wake up

I think MezzoDiva's posts are best left unread....

I wish we had a documentary of this production almost as a sequel to ‘Paris is burning’. Followed by a pro shot of the whole thing. People joke sometimes offstage is more interesting than on but I suspect this production had both. Maybe it will quickly be forgotten in the general public (shows almost always are anyway) but at least in our niche theatre circles everything about this production from how it got conceived in the first place and how the hell they managed to convince ALW to do this, to the off broadway run, to the Broadway run, to losing the Tony, to the backstage egos and injuries, to the actual presentation of the art itself, and within the context of the current political environment etc. it’s just fascinating.

Can someone at least write a book? Quizking I’m looking at you…

it was just a bitchy drag show. talented performers, but no real muscle.
