Yes, Justin Brill is a guy. He was in Rent for a while.

Good for Caren, although Justin was amazing as Sarah...It was priceless.

Interesting that they decided to change it from a guy in drag to a girl. I can't say it made a ton of sense the way it was, since it was obviously a guy dressed as a girl. I wonder if the character is the same and she will still be a lesbian. So is Justin not in the show anymore? That's kind of sad.

obviously he wasn't that amazing ...
It sounds like the change might be because it just works better to have the character REALLY be female, so no, it's not "obvious" that he wasn't amazing. He may very well have given a great performance. This doesn't automatically mean he was taken out because he was bad, especially if he wasn't replaced by another guy. I haven't even see the show, but your argument makes no sense.

I think that they also needed another woman in the ensemble...there used to be only 5 women (including Jen) and 9 guys.

I wonder how she must feel. To be the one who replaced Jenn in Times and then to be released from the show and then end up in the ensemble of the show that Jenn is currently starring in? Might do something to that ego...

Might do something to the bank account.
As in having some $ to put in it.
When it comes down to having no job to pay the bill or a job in a show and one that is coming to Broadway, gee, I wonder which route I would pick?

Well, that should take the sting out of the whole "Times" thing a wee bit. Don't know how much it's going to do to improve the show though.

Aw, Bree, I actually liked the show! Maybe there's still hope for it. Certainly getting rid of the drag bit will help.

Is this all she is going to be doing in the show? That is an awfully small part.

I have to say this even though I know it's going to sound mean, but "awfully small part" or not, after what i saw in Times...Changin', she's lucky to have any job so soon after that performance. I'd say she was really lucky.

That is funny that TWO CLEO's are in a show together.

Yeah, I think this is probably the first time in theater history that two women were both "let go" from the same Broadway role prior to opening and then ended up in a different Broadway show together later that season!
