I just saw it for the first time on Friday ! I lovedd it and if it weren't for closing on December 31st I would most definelty be going to see it again ! amazing show, very funny and talented cast..awesome music !! I enjoyed it very much and did not want it to end. In fact, I am even listening to the soundtrack as I type this.
I thought it was terrible at the end though. Nobody from the audience besides me and very few other people gave a standing ovation. Actually, there wasn't much of an applause at all. I felt so bad for the cast. I don't know if that usually happens, but I mean they most definetly deserve a standing ovation, hands down! I felt that really wasn't right that hardly anyone stood up...they are a really great case and put on an amazing show, so it was well-deserving to give them one. Also, I hope they all do find jobs after this show is over. I heard from a friend that some of them did, so hopefully we will be hearing about them all soon afterwards.
omg, yea, when i went, i DEFF stood up! i hate it when people dont, i mean, theyre not obligated to, and i understand that, but this cast DEFF deserves this. at the mat i went to, it was me and one other person standing for the ensemble, and then when like constantine came out, other people started to stand up. it was kind of annoying

That's a shame...when my Mom and I go to see shows, we ALWAYS give the cast a standing ovation. When we went to see The Wedding Singer a month ago, EVERYONE stood up. THe audience LOVED the show.
Anyone know what the cast is doing after the show ends? (jobs?)
Stephen has a gig at the Borgata in Atlantic City and then I've heard talk of a European tour.
Laura Benanti will be filming a pilot for ABC.
I know Nicolette was offered a role in a show out of town, but last she told me she was unsure if she was going to take it.
Matthew will probably be touring with his new album.
Richard Blake, Nick Kenkel and Andy Karl will have moved on to LEGALLY BLONDE.
The rest of the cast I'm unsure of.

Christina is doing a very early reading of "Ever After" - and I think she said Tracee Beazer and David Eggers are involved with it, too.
really? YAY for christina (and tracee and david too) lol. :)
i'd imagine is most likely playing Drew Barrymore's role in the reading...correct?
Ahh, that sounds awesome!
ikm- Those avatars are really cute. I like the Amy one.
Happy (early) Birthday, Felicia! She shares a birthday with one of my good friends.

No, she's playing the 'nice' stepsister. I agree, I bet she'd be great as the main part.

Thanks dancingthrulife. And another one. I have been extremely bored the past 2 days. lol.
Stephen has a gig at the Borgata in Atlantic City and then I've heard talk of a European tour.
Stephen has 3 shows @ the Borgata in Jan. And then a bit of a break till March when he starts hitting the west coast to do some shows that he had to cancel on the last tour due to starting TWS stuff in Seattle.
The European tour is just talks among fans hoping for it.
Those icons are really "awesome!!" I love the Amy one the best!
I saw the show yesterday in the evening. Amy was out, so i was extremley dissapointed. Robyn was alright, i like her better than cara, but neither are Amy of course. Laura and Stephen were SO on. Laura didn't laugh at all! Stephen held out the last note in casualty of love alotttt longer than usual. Casualty of love in general was just like on crack and amazing. If i told you was great too. Laura has put in so many little additions since the last time i saw the show its hilarious. i.e. Julia take that vail off.. "Okay, mhm, yeah." and nods "I SAID HOLD IT.....yaaaaaaaaaaayyyy!" and claps.
I met Matt Salvidar in a deli right by the theater before the show and told him i was seeing the show that night and how i was excited. It was really cool. And i told him that i was glad he was back hah.
Overall, the show was good..but its been better. I guess i was just disapointed that Amy wasn't in. But everyone was great.
OH! and I have felicia flowers at the end she was so sweet she kissed my cheek!!!!! shes been sick but she didnt seem it at all last night.
Aww Felicia is so sweet! I'm sorry Amy wasn't in, I would be disappointed too!
