I love that Baby Byrne is such a theatre girlie. She’s apparently been auditioning for Broadway for quite some time, and she’s even a Giry/Carlotta cover in Masquerade according to her Cats bio. She was a major standout in the ensemble at PAC.

If you go back on her Instagram page to 2020 there's a video of her as Ursula in Little Mermaid and saying that "Oh one day, i hope ill be able to get back into theatre."

That's what I said!
I mean seriously that trailer is one of a few times this season where the marketing was done right…the other two being surprisingly Ragtime and Chess, this really is the season of revivals and you know what? I’m here for it

Gimme the House Beats!"
I hope DJ Capital Kaos stays on because the incidental music during the ballroom categories were absolute fire."
He updated his story and it does not seem like he's going to be involved unfortunately :/

I enjoyed the show downtown.  But Broadway?
Does anyone really see this being a hit with a mainstream audience 8 shows a week?

Its a unique revival of one of the longest running shows in Broadway history. Shows have been brought to Broadway with far less reason and cachet than that. So let it roll. Maybe it plays a few months, or maybe it runs a year or more. It's not my money, so I do not care.

This is the best piece of creative from a Broadway agency that I have seen in a long time. Anyone know which agency?

Please go away. Isn't it time for you to create a new profile since everyone keeps blocking you?

Go back to trying to sell tickets in the DMs. But not to me, please stop that.

Sure Grandma, let’s get you to bed
Not sure if this was mentioned already, but the promo was done by Polymath Production, for those interested.
I agree that the promos of this production have been perfect, the essence of a teaser, not giving away too much but just enough to get audiences excited.
Re: will it sell on Broadway? Who knows but it will be excellent and memorable. It's already a legendary production.

Completely reorchestrating a show can add a couple of hundred thousand dollars to your production budget. I think everyone involved with this production was wise to use the PAC run to determine if the concept worked first before doing that. It also generally doesn’t work to just add a few beats to existing orchestrations and have them read as conceptually anything other than an afterthought. The promo for Broadway indicates the show is going to have an upgrade in production values and hints at new orchestrations.
I had no issue with them keeping the original orchestrations/arrangements. Maybe would be interesting if they took it farther for Broadway, but I don't think that's essential to making the show work.

Without any snark as I haven't really followed any of your comments as some others have, I found the production the most successful reimagining of a classic musical, one that I never really liked. One can never predict the success of a show. If someone told me about a musical exploring the love life of robots in South Korea......................yet here we are.

Cats is opening this season. If Evita comes in, it would be next season. I don’t see why Cats opening would negate that.
In what seems to be a the beginning of an era where producers serve up regurgitated touring productions disguised as “revivals,” it’s a joy to see a truly fresh take on a classic musical return to Broadway.

Interesting - that’s a lot more than I would have imagined. I’d love to hear more about where all that money goes. (Orchestrator’s fees? Music copying? Additional orchestra calls?)
Presale is today at 10am. Anyone have the code?
No code yet, but I just got an email from Regents Park in London that a new production of “Cats” will have a 7 week long run there in July, followed by a new UK tour.
