Sutton, are you saying that Jellicle Ball isn’t gonna last long on Broadway or are you saying it’s gonna be one of those shows that caters to a very specific kind of audience. I mean A Strange Loop catered to a specific audience and didn’t last that long on Broadway. Personally, I think Jellicle Ball should definitely last a good while (and if there’s any proof all of the onstage seating is completely sold out for the current run at this point)

I wanted to see if this was true and got all the way to....preview #2 before finding available onstage seating.

Has anyone heard what the advance is on this?

The latter and your last statement is simply not true.

The onstage seating does appear to be well sold for the first week. There are only 86 seats so that isn’t really impressive, as downtown had 87 seats SL and 87 seats SR, plus those long red couches on floor level with the cocktail tables.
It looks like rear mezz and rear orchestra might be greyed-out as production holds but not truly purchased, to encourage buyers to spend on the more expensive seats. There’s a strange blanket pattern of those sections being sold each night.
Maybe I’m wrong. Has anyone here bought seats in the last row or extreme sides or orchestra or mezz for the first week?

The musicals are being met with much less excitement. All under 1.7 advances Beaches being the highest. Then Schmigadoon, Lost Boys, Cats and Titanique are all clustered closer to 1.1.
Not saying you're wrong, but it really looks lie Beaches has barely sold any tickets at all on their seating charts. If anything it looks like Cats and The Lost Boys are the only ones selling.

But…how? Beaches has barely sold any tickets

Beaches doesn’t have a single Friday or Saturday night performance in April and May that looks to be more than 30% full- and that’s including orchestra seats that are clearly being held by the production. In fact, there are quite a number of performances where only a handful of mezzanine tickets seem to have been sold at all. Even an advance of $1.5 million would require thousands of sold tickets.

I’d say the ticket availability on the shows official site is about as good a source as any
But we’ll trust your anonymous “sources.” Are they in the room with us now?

If you are hearing it from any of your other multiple personalities, it doesn't count as a "source".

The mods love to delete a post that “isn’t on topic” or includes even a reference to an incendiary accusation (no matter how substantiated), but we still have to deal with BroadwayFlash creating a new profile every five minutes?
I’ll never understand.

Several performances 30% sold in a theater of over 1600 seats = thousands of seats sold. Nobody should ever be looking at attendance anyway, it’s all about the gross.

Usually has to do with waiting to confirm with waiting to see if partial view or not... or production holds in previews for designers and such, often rear orch.

I don’t get why this board is so negative. I’d imagine this will have wonderful word of mouth and sales will pick up quickly.
