"Has anyone read the character breakdown for the reading this month? It reads like a trainwreck.

Sounds a lot better than the likes of Sunday in the Park With George, Passion, Falsettos, Parade, Floyd Collins, The Wild Party, Marie Christine, Once, Fun Home, Hamilton, etc.
It would certainly be hard to be worse!

will they direct the actress playing Cher to show less and less facial expression as the show progresses to reflect Cher's growing addiction to botox?

Wow...Just wow...

The reading started rehearsals this week with : Jesse Muller, Lena Hall and Leslie Margherita
Jessie Mueller?! Lena and Lesli I could see involved in this, but Jessie is not a Cher-type...which is a good thing, because it would keep her from playing the beautiful roles on her resume.

Okay, Jillian Mueller makes much more sense in a Cher musical. At least to me.

She does have writing credits on her last few albums.
I signed up for the open call, as did a couple of my friends. Do you guys think an uptempo or a ballad would be a better choice?

Ado I did too! I'm really excited :) I was thinking of singing a power ballad but was also about to ask the message board for opinions!
Is lesli still attached to this?
Lesli is no longer attached. The person they have doing the October lab is very... unexpected.

I'm not Sure what went into it all, but most likely they Just auditioned more people. I wish I could spill the beans, but I'm sworn to secrecy. I will say she's not a "name" on a national scale, but she's been working on broadway consistently for the past 15 years and is well loved among the Boards and critics.
I have a thought about who it is, but if they've been working consistently, can you tell us a show she's been in recently? Not even the most recent...
The show wanted a Babe, a Lady, and a Star for Cher in different stages of her career. Lesli and Lena both read like the "Lady" character to me. I can see them going with talented established actresses for the reading, but I didn't expect both Lesli and Lena to stay on. Between these two, I'd definitely think Lena's voice and look are more suited to Cher.

This is probably the Star character who might have been played by Mueller (Jessie? Jillian?) or Lesli during the reading. Now who can play a 50 year old Cher on stage... Hmm.
If Lena staying with the project as the Lady Cher (middle-Allison essentially, hah) - I'd LOVE for Miriam Shor to play the Star character. She has some great following from both Younger and Hedwig fans, and there's that cross-generational Yitzhak connection.

I can't say anything like that because it would easily give it away. I'll say she received her first Tony nomination within the last 5 years (many thought it was long overdue). Read my post again. I threw in some clues in my syntax. If you think you know don't post it here. Keep your guesses to yourself
