The show is still at the Ambassador Theatre. It is keeping New York actors employed.
As for me I am still waiting for Kim Kardashian and Kayleigh McEnanny to be cast.
Or, if that doesn't pan out, Sarah Palin as Mama Morton.
Wouldn't be fazed if they put Ted Cruz in as Billy Flynn."
"Are you HIGH Clairee?"
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Yeah, new casting! Hopefully we get a new Velma or Roxie for the Fall.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Hello. I have been quite happy since I've been reading that the Cellblock Tour will reemerge in the fall. I always assumed that it would be a bonafide Equity production. Now, I've seen a couple of comments which suggests that the tour will be non Equity. Does anyone have any information about this?

I believe it's the non-equity tour that got cancelled in 2020 due to COVID getting rescheduled.

Oh no. When I saw that "Chicago" was returning to Austin in November I (naively) assumed it was the regular Equity tour I've seen over many years. I've only see one non-Equity tour, A Chorus Line, here in Austin around 2009. I'm a union member American Federation of Teachers -- AFL-CIO. I'll have to think long and hard about seeing a non Equity show.

There's no need to diminish non-equity tours. I've seen several and been apart of two. The one that got shutdown in 2020 had one of my former students. I'd highly suggest seeing it.

JBradshaw said: "Two questions I always think about…
why hasn’t Tony Danza ever been Billy? He’s a song and dance man. He loves being on Broadway.
why didn’t Lynda Carter reprise her mama on Broadway?" Personally, I would love to see that. Also, the possibility of having Lucy Lawless as Mama on Broadway would be spectacular.

Ryoko Yonekura is joining the cast of "Chicago" as Roxie Hart, from November 7--20, 2022.

It appears Lana Gordon is on vacation (IG). Who is playing Velma at the moment?

The two understudies are splitting the role. Mary Claire King is playing Velma Thursday-Saturday and Christine Cornish Smith is playing Velma Sunday-Tuesday.

Bianca Marroquin stated online that today is her last day as Roxie for her current run. Does that mean that the understudies will take turns as Roxie until Angelica Ross arrives at the Ambassador on Sept. 12th? Maybe the show will get an interim Roxie...perhaps Dylis Croman or Charlotte D'Amboise?

I found this Chicago related tidbit in Billy Masters' column. It's a very incredible claim.
"Speaking of gender-bending casting, Sandra Bernhard (who at one point was also asked to play Hedwig) recently claimed to have been approached about joining the Broadway cast of Chicago. She would have allegedly appeared opposite Pamela Anderson – as Billy Flynn!"

I've got a question about Me and My Baby for those of you with a dance background. Why does Roxie need to wear special shoes just for this number? It doesn't seem technically more difficult, other than the kicks and jumps at the end, than Velma's I Just Can't Do It Alone, which doesn't require a change of shoes. Any insight into what makes Me and My Baby warrant a change in shoes?

Charlotte will be an excellent mentor to Angelica Ross.

I was wondering who might replace Lana Gordon as Velma Kelly, once her run ends on Sept. 11th. How about J. Harrison McGee as Velma Kelly. J. Harrison has done it (twice?) at the MUNY. Also, the producers could launch a "Search For Velma Kelly" as was done for Roxie Hart. It would be beneficial for the show to cultivate one or two brand new Velmas,
