And you are a troll who only shows up to support Clay, no matter what.

He can't sing, can't act, stands around awkwardly, isn't believable, has no emotional connection to the songs and oh yes, Anthony Federov did it better. But it wasn't negative your honor. Really it wasn't.

I didn't say he can't sing (in fact I said he sings well, despite the falsetto stuff), and I didn't say he can't act. He did stand around awkwardly more than once throughout the show, and he was completely void of emotional connection throughout most of the show.
Also, YOU are the one who keeps mentioning Anthony Fedorov. I mentioned his name once, and you jumped on it. Anthony does not need my defense. He's plenty successful all on his own. Feel free to look up his band. If I had wanted to post and promote him, I would have.

Posted: 8/4/13 at 10:16pmI suppose if I mention the names Donny Osmond or Max Von Essen I'll be a rabid fan of them too?

You did plenty of that in the other Clay as Joseph thread. No wonder you had to start a new account to post your nasty review.

Uh, I never posted ANYTHING in the other Clay as Joseph thread, or anywhere else, for that matter.
LMAO... started a new account. That's hilarious.

Posted: 8/4/13 at 10:22pmWell, it's been fun, but as I have a life and things to do tomorrow, I must head off to bed. As I said before, a review is only one person's opinion. If you're completely driven to believe I'm wrong, by all means, see the show yourself and write your own review.

A cudgel is a short thick stick (It's the same in any decade, son)

Posted: 8/4/13 at 10:30pmYou're right, I didn't post that picture. I've seen it before, though. I'd say thanks for the promotion of a great artist, but like I said before, he's moved on to other things and no longer needs it.

Posted: 8/4/13 at 10:43pmDiva, it was supposed to be a copro with the Fulton Theatre, but the two split up shortly before auditions were held. I don't think the casting of Clay was the reason (that happened well after they made the decision to do the productions on their own).

Posted: 8/4/13 at 10:55pmSaw Joseph many years ago with Donny Osmond as Joseph and we all really enjoyed it. Can't imagine those lovely ballads sang in a high register. How does his voice contrast with the children's voices?

Posted: 8/4/13 at 10:57pmThat was actually something I meant to mention in my review and forgot about- the children were actually very downplayed in this production, in my opinion. Only a handful of them were wearing mics, so they were barely audible sometimes. And they were always off in the background onstage. They seemed to get much less focus than the productions I've seen in the past, both live and on video.

You're welcome!
On the whole it's not a bad production. I don't feel as though my time was wasted. I just thought some of the choices were strange, and some of the performances were not as strong as they could have been. There were plenty of positives to make up for it. For the most part, it was enjoyable.
