I'd say your best bet if you do cancellation line is to be at least amongst the first 3 people on line (first 6 tickets).
As for stubhubbing, just have a budget (i.e. $300 or $400) and once the price falls below that threshold, quickly buy it. In the past few days even all the stubhub tix have been sold ten minutes before showtime."
Thank you so much! Does anyone know approx. what time they hand out tickets and what time i should campout by? I was thinking 3am.
"
no one ever knows. it’s different every time. last sunday i got there at 2am, was fourth in line and they ended up releasing only 2 tickets, which was pretty disappointing. i’m thinking of doing it again for saturday, considering i don’t have much luck with telecharge. i’m thinking of getting there around 8/9pm on friday, that should be enough for being up to third."
Oh man, i couldnt get there until 12am min. because im seeing anastasia, should i even bother or is it gonna be packed?
"
well if you’re one street away i don’t see the harm in dropping by and checking out how things are :)
I know this is probably true of everyone here, but I'm looking for a ticket for Sunday. I know what they're worth and I'm willing to pay accordingly- just hoping to avoid the craziness of StubHub fees. Please PM me if you have one available.
btw someone said that even on stubhub tickets were sold out more than 10 mins before the show yesterday. but i opened tickpick at 6:53 and they had 2-3 tickets for like $240 and one of them was even less than $200, but two of them could only be purchased together. i did find it weird but i've never used tickpick before so i thought maybe that was common. were those tickets legit? i thought it was insane that they were so cheap (even if it was like 7 minutes before the show).
Hello, I would like to offer to sit in line for someone if they are willing to pay for my ticket as well in exchange for not having to spend any time in line. I remember people using this plan for Hamilton, so I figured I would make a desperate plea since it is the only way I will be able to see the show. PM if your looking to set something up (looking to get in line in the evening hours of Friday and willing to wait all day Saturday)

Make sure you are checking for single tickets and do not set any other parameters."
I'm also selecting all the dates between now and Sunday.

I was checking tickets last night as well up to literally 6:59 and so sad to see those pairs go unsold. Would have been great if the seller had changed them to single tickets, better to sell even one than none at all.
Just saw that one as well, although it's more than we were hoping to spend. Offered it to my daughter but she feels funny going alone. Thanks for the heads up and the advice on how to check!

When I was there alone (twice), there were many others also alone. Everyone is so friendly, she can chat up the person next to her.
Chiming in on seeing it alone, I was so excited that I forgot to think about it until I sat down. Everyone around me was absolutely lovely and a lot of people were there alone, we all chatted until the lights went down and talked a bit during intermission. I'm 19 and wasn't the youngest there by any means, everyone is just so excited to be there that it's a great atmosphere!

Aw, thanks, everyone. She's only 15 and I think because the two of us have been so into it for so long, she feels like we should go together. I agree that the theatre-going experience is about connecting with your fellow patrons too (we loved that at Hamilton, everyone was just so excited over finally being there!) but I guess she's willing to go forego Ben so we can experience the whole thing together. I'm going to keep looking though--maybe 2 will pop up! Or the lottery will come through? We actually won once before but it was when Ben was out on vacation and the seats were not close enough to the stage for her to be able to see, due to her low vision. Maybe we'll get lucky again!
Chiming in too! I was able to grab a single seat thanks to this amazing board. Everyone at theater is so kind and there for same reason. worth going!!!!!
