I continue to pray to the gay Gods for Laura Benanti's Madeline Opposite Leslie Kritzler, Lesli Margherita or Stephanie J Block.

Kolton Krouse is the only OBC to announce their final date."
Is Krouse ever in the show? Legitimately asking, because in my 5 visits, they've been out every time.
I truly need a Laura Bell Bundy (Madeline) and a Kate Shindle (Helen)

I feel like Deborah Cox's touring costumes for Viola have already been made and are just sitting in storage waiting for the dress rehearsal in Schenectady.

You must be really unlucky. They were in every single time I’ve been (also 5 times)
Sieber is clearly taking some time off to do BAT BOY - whether he is leaving or will be out for a short period of time remains to be seen (Kerry Butler is out of HEATHERS October 10th-November 12th for the same contract). Do you think they'll bring in a replacement or promote Bud Weber?
I think they'll get a temp replacement for Sieber for a month.
Also, looks like Bowman will be the Helen alternate. She just dropped out from doing SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD.

Well, Benanti is out. She says the score is very difficult plus she has 2 daughters so if she were to return to Broadway, it would have to be something extra special. Also the 8 performances a week has to merit it. Dream roles now are Desiree in NIGHT MUSIC, Fosca in PASSION, and Phyllis in FOLLIES.

Sign me up for any 3 of those productions.

I mean, yes to all three, but dang. She'd be a brilliant Madeline. Where did she share this?

good
this is what should have happened in the first place
but it took a public megan hilty vocal injury to force their hand
another example of producers risking the health of actors for the bottom line
They’re building their stable of performers for the upcoming holiday months and also for future productions (including a national tour)"
for the latter it will depend on how cheap they make the national tour
while the shows ticket sales have been doing rather well in these summer tourist months the $30+ million broadway capitalization means that their producers will be anxious to make a profit sooner on the tour
if they go with an insultingly low tier like outsiders and hells kitchen expect a bunch of 2025-2026 college grads for the ensemble and severely restricted diva menu options for the leads
which eliminates most of the names mentioned on this thread
ps - i did enjoy the show and it is one of the very few success stories from this past season

bow down accordingly

Some picks were questionable in the cast, but ultimately, it served its purpose. Felt like the 2006 revival opened a lot of doors for some and also gave those young Broadway theatergoers a way to view a top, professional production of the show. Now that a 50th anniversary revival isn't happening, the 2006 revival was likely the last shot of see Bennett's masterpiece on Broadway.

Rachel Bay Jones as Helen?
If we’re throwing out dream replacements, I have many. But I think my number one picks are Renée Elise Goldsberry for Madeline and Leslie Kritzer for Helen.

Renée would be a fabulous Madeline, but I bet if she agreed to do anything, it would be Viola (which would also be fabulous)
