I love when every so often these threads get created. I have very very many but my top 5 are: Sweeney in Sweeney Todd, Molina in Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Sydney Falco in Sweet Smell of Success, George in SITPWG and Stine in City of Angels

Eponine in Les Mis, has been for years or Nadia in Bare, because she sums up my adolesence, the character's amazing and the music is wonderful

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

The choosing was not...

I'm a girl, but I've always wanted to BE Sir Percy Blakeney in "The Scarlet Pimpernel"-- not just play him, be him. I mean, I was him for Halloween last year. I also desperately want to be Edna Turnblad, despite the fact that I don't look or sound the part in any possible way. My dream is to be the first female Edna Turnblad.
Some other roles I'd love to play are: Madame Thenardier in "Les Miserables" Ursula the Sea Witch in "The Little Mermaid" Carlotta in "Phantom of the Opera" The title role in "Evita" The Beggar Woman in "Sweeney Todd" Marian in "The Woman In White"
Sadly, I'm about twenty to forty years too young for any of these roles...

Eponine in "Les Miserables" Ariel in "The Little Mermaid" Niki Harris in "Curtains" Christine in "The Phantom of the Opera" Anne in "La Cage Aux Folles" Millie in "Thoroughly Modern Millie"
Oh, Gypsy4... looks like we'll have to duke it out over the role of Edna! (And you'll probably win because you're not a five-foot-two teenaged mezzo-soprano...)
