Just got a note that my order has been canceled, as did a friend for another night.
Tickets seem to still be for sale on the theater’s website.
If Dylan is going into Six at the oracle suggests, it might be the reason why.

I
I have no real problem with stunt casting, but Six is a show that depends on the balance of its ensemble so much that stunt-casting a single role feels like it might throw the show off a little.

Maybe, but Broadway is a business and SIX is bleeding money right now. The week that just ended yesterday it probably only made $300K or so (with the 2-for-1s in effect).
I hope we eventually get a staging of the show somewhere with six drag queens.

They're trying to keep the show open, dear.

Stunt casting for "Six" was always going to happen in some way or another. It's perfect for it, each track offers a variety for different performers.
I'm not the biggest Dylan Mulvaney fan... her singing voice is not for me, but she's exactly who this show needs right now. If she's going in for Anne Boleyn, she'll be great, bring humor to it, sing her song and get the "yaaaasss" reaction and then she's there to support the other queens and provide funny quips here and there. She'll be fantastic.

How, exactly, would Dylan Mulvaney moved the needle at SIX? I feel like this could only end with her going into the show, it being made very publicized, and all of the midwestern folks who would come to NYC for the holidays might freak out because their daughter’s favorite musical now stars a trans woman who ruined their beer by…existing.
Looks like previews were announced to start on the 20th, but Dylan’s IG bio and the ticketing page now say the 27th. The website art still says the 20th.
The website says the run is September 20-November 30, but tickets are currently on sale September 27-October 19. Weird.
Sounds like a case of not-ready-itis then.
Just goes to show yet again how amateur Greg Nobile is. He’s really more of a restaurateur who seems to be more interested in his bars/restaurants. A (good) theater producer, he is not.

This is an astonishingly ignorant and ridiculous comment-- even coming from you (Broadway Flash/BirdieBoy/ Bandstand/Ensemble1711444445454 and whatever other "burner" accounts you are using this week!
Nobile co-owns one bar/restaurant, the Friki Tiki in midtown, and it opened two years ago. And last season, Seaview produced three high-profile and profitable productions- Romeo & Juliet, All In, and Good Night and Good Luck.
He's doing very well and I suspect he doesn't need to keep unearthing old usernames to use a message board he's gotten himself banned from continuously for almost ten years.

I mean I find him to be a grating blowhard as much as the next person, but huh?

Lol. Leave me out of this. Definitely not Greg here!
Studio sea view has a bar in it which he’s worked hard on. I saw videos of Tony Marion wiping it down, clearly he’s the supplicant. And Nobile also owns so & so’s piano bar on 52nd street. Thats 3.

Tony Marion is definitely Robin to various Batmans (Batmen?) but he does take excellent photos of his pals. I hope they offer to return to favor now and then, as he captures them all very well.
Oh hell yea Boris, sounds like you wanna take his pictures dont you

I think that it's selling very poorly. It was on my Todaytix watchlist for while, and I've noticed tickets now start at $38 and are available for all performances. I think prices were way higher before.
I hope the Six rumor is true. The casting calls have always included language suggesting that transwomen and non-binary performers would be considered, so it would be great to see that acted upon.
Dylan's show can happen at a later date if this is the case. Or it could have fallen through. We don't know either way yet.

i have nothing negative to say about SIX or about Dylan Mulvaney but theres a reason they havent stunt cast. Well, two reasons: theyve never had to, so that could be changing.
But the second reason is that the show consists of 3 group numbers and then six solo numbers; anyone big enough to bring in ticket buyers would likely be too big to spend 85% of the show singing backup and dancing in the background.... would be very surprised if Mulvaney agreed to this, though I agree they would make an interesting Boleyn.
