Seriously. The NT LIVE productions of SKYLIGHT and THE AUDIENCE have been enormously successful and the broadway runs of both of those shows have recouped, even after the movie theater showings. The excuse that it "will hurt box office" is such a stupid one and has been proven to be not true.

It's always such a tease just knowing the New York Public Library collection is sitting there, full with every show. I wish so badly they could figure out a way to make selling those copies happen, even if it's something like having to wait til a show is done touring or something. A friend and I were talking about how we don't even need fancy dvd cases, just give us a burned dvd, with an intern's chicken scratch writing with a sharpy as a label and we'll still buy it, we're not picky.

I pre ordered the album and I was listening to when your feet don't touch the ground it is such a beautiful song. I love it, I want to see this show even more now, but my one issue is that ever high note that Matt hits I'm scared he might burn out his voice.

Why am I so underwhelmed by this so called BIG announcement? They canceled the original date for OBC album with little or no notifification to the people that had already pre-ordered it, and they did not give a real reason why? So people have not already pre-ordered the album can NOW pre-order it with a frew advance copy of one of the songs, that they released to youtube as a music video?
Yeah because that makes so much sense.....something is going on behind the scenes and I do not like it....

Exactly. I love the show, but the production team has been very misleading.

Amazon.com now no longer knows if or when the cast recording will be available. It previously listed a July 23rd date, but now, nothing. This is disconcerting.

The pop album is the only thing on spotify... And it's terrifying.
ETA: "something about this night" the pop version lays sonewhere between a vintage mentos commercial jingle and an early 80s sitcom theme song.
