The only one I've heard is the RENT one. I really thought I was going to hate it and be terribly offended, but I laughed a lot when I first heard it, and I still do.

When it first started there was a routine where Mr. Shubert and Mr. Nederlander would sing "Well, Did You Evah?" and it was continually updated with news and gossip.
Have you heard the latest news?
Harold Prince now is shining shoes.
Well, did you evah?
What a swell season it's been.
(after "A Dolls's Life" and "Roza")
Mr. Lowe says that Alan Jay
Cast his wife and divorced his play
Well, did you evah?
What a swell season it's been.
(after "Dance a Little Closer")

Exactly. Somehow, it's funny enough that I'm not offended by this proverbial ripping apart of my favorite show.

Lion King Segment, Circle of Mice, etc.
"Ten Years More"
Into the Words
Be Depressed
Teeny Todd
and that one with Sondheim vs. Webber on the piano...can't remember the title for the life of me..."Isn't he rich?...Send in the crowds..."

I likeDefying Chenoweth, which I never heard, but I read the lyrics. I did hear Too Gay for Me Too Hetero for Me(Today 4 U), Ouch, They're Tight(Out Tonight) I Dreamed a Dream, Don't Cry For me Barbara Streisand(sp)(Don't Cry For Me Argentina)Rant(Rent) was kinda funny too. I really liked 10 Years More, too.
Can some1 send me the lyrics to defying chenoweth. I lost mine.

Posted: 12/4/04 at 8:39pmI'd forgotten about that "God It's High" part, that almost killed me!! heheheh Some of my other favorite parts are when they spoof Sarah Brightman ("Time I Say Goodbye") and the spoof on the Baby June in Gypsy ("Let Me Pierce Your Eardrums" or something like that). I've only seen the show once but it had me rolling on the floor!
geri loves wicked

I love the Blood Brothers segment. LOVE IT! I especially love how they make fun of the repetitive Marilyn Monroe analogies...those are just asking for it.
I also like the Lion King segment, Beauty and the Beast, and the Annie one. Oh, and i liked "Ya Gotta be Disgusting"

The Sondheim vs Webber is not Forbidden Broadway. Sondheim wrote the lyrics/arranged the music for that for the Hey Mr. Producer! concert at the Lyceum Theatre in London, in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II.
but that is a fantastic parody
my favourite Forbidden Broadway sketches include
A Chorus Cat/Stop Cats...amen!
The King is Her/Whistle a Sondheim Tune/Shall We Boink?
Chita/Rita is fabulous!
THe Grease Infomercial
Ethel Merman and Sunset Boulevarde!!!!
just to name a few

I just saw Forbidden Broadway for the first time yesterday and I loved it. There were some really fabulous moments. There were also definitely times when I was the only one laughing, and I'd like to attribute that to this board and the knowledge I've gained here. My dad loved it too, and he knows very little. I was impressed that the show was so good on so many levels. My favorite was definitely the Sondheim song (although I don't think many people got it), and I really enjoyed Defying Chenoweth too.
It was weird though because Christine Pedi wasn't there, but her understudy didn't go on either. And now I can't remember the girl's name who went on instead, but she was fabulous. Her name was something like Megan Elizabeth... Does anyone know?
Edit: never mind, I figured her name out, Megan Elizabeth Lewis. Anyway, again, she was very good.
