I was thinking Merrly We Roll Along but now I realize that's bum-bum-bum-di-dum not ba-da-da.

"Freedom" from SHENANDOAH: because not only does it have a 'Ba-ba-ba' verse, it also has a 'Va-va-va' verse. Now THAT's lyric writing!
PS: I do love that show/score, but this song always got on my nerves.
