^Yup. True Love is going away, meaning FTFTIF reprise will mostly be replaced by the new (better IMO) song.

I was also told they are updating some of the technology. Not sure what that means though.
The tour also has other differences besides the missing True Love such as a brief death scene for the parents and a brief reprise of Kristoff’s Lullaby in the True Love spot. I hope those changes come to Broadway as well.

I've seen photos on Instagram this weekend of both McKenzie Kurtz and Lauren Nicole Chapman wearing the new Frozen 2 Anna wig. That's similar to what Caroline Innerbichler wears on tour. I'm excited to see this new iteration of the show!

Where on Instagram because I was just on there and didn't see anything?
Based on what I heard... Caissie optioned up three times during Let it Go tonight. Way to go out!
Patti has been with the show since spring 2016, no? Or were there earlier labs? Still, what a run for her. Hope she get another job quick

I saw it in the Instagram stories of Ciara Renee and Lauren Nicole Chapman but they might be expired by now. Ciara had posted the curtain call from their put-in last week.

Also, Patti is already working on her next project. I imagine there will be an announcement relatively soon. "
*eye roll* at the filming... couldn’t agree with you more
Is she replacing someone in a pre-existing show or in something new? Anything you can tell us?

She’s already posted a pic on Instagram from a beach. Happy she’s getting some well deserved rest.
Great to hear about upcoming project. :)
For anyone curious to hear about the changes being implemented into the show tonight, Broadway News posted an exclusive article this morning: https://broadwaynews.com/2020/02/18/a-new-frozen-comes-to-broadway/
I mean, I wasn't a huge fan of Anna's only solo number - pretty song, bad placement - it's her only only solo number. Maybe they could've just written her a new song?
I wonder if they will record an upcoming production to display the new changes to the score? The only other time this was done relatively close to the opening (unlike the many many years later like Beauty and Lion King) was with Mary Poppins, but Cameron Macintosh was also producing, so who knows?
Not sure about recording a production, but Thomas Schumacher is quoted in the article saying there are no plans to re-record the cast recording or invite critics to see the “revised” version of the show.
You know, until some anniversary down the line when Disney realizes they can capital on a “deluxe edition” of the cast recording and do rerelease it with the new songs. Ha.
Some were asking about Patti’s next role. Just announced. She’s going to be a mom come July.

Congrats to Patti and Colin that's great news! Patti and Caissie will also be performing at Carnegie Hall on April 27 at the New York Pops concert which honors the Lopezes. Not sure I've seen this posted here before: https://www.carnegiehall.org/Calendar/2020/04/27/The-New-York-Pops-37th-Birthday-Gala-0700PM
I'm really excited for this new iteration of the show. Reading that Broadway News article, it looks my review of the tour was spot on as I remember feeling like I had just watched 2 people slowly fall in love. I also felt like they added in more character development for Elsa. Glad to see they added in the new scene with the parents dying too--I never realized that was considered an issue. I don't think I can see this new version before April but maybe I'll get lucky a last minute schedule change.

I hope they do. I'd really like a recording of the new song.

Why would you have to see it before April? I assume it’s permanent and you can see it any time starting tonight.

Ah, I misread. My mistake.
Can we talk about how amazing Ciara looks as Elsa??

I think they all look terrific and I especially like that McKenzie and Noah look great together.
This is off topic but Patti and Colin are expecting a baby girl in July! Congrats to them!
