well *i know* its restricted for new york city...(which probably includes a wide surrounding mile radious.
when a producer buys the rights for a piece, they buy it under two variables- location(exclusivity) and time. I'm guessing dodgers hold on the rights exlusivness for nyc is a 5-10 year block.

Hmm is no one slightly down heartened by the fact it wont be on profefesionally for a long time...
i'd be too scared to take part/watch an ametuer production in fear of possible ****ness!
ahh i do love it, but i do hope one day it will grace broadway...or better the west end lol!

Eh- I'm not concerned. It'll have its own fine life. I never thought of it as a broadway show anyhow. It's a small intimate off broadway show.
It would definitely fare better at a smaller venue... moreover, I don't exactly think of New York City as the place that necessarily needs to see a mounting of this production. Let's get one going somewhere in Texas.
It's funny that someone mentioned this information weeks ago and that the post was virtually ignored.

I unfortunatly live in a southern town that would never have the courage to put on a show like Bare. It is a great show though, and I do hope it one day makes it big.

I heard that there was a rumor the book was available now, but did that person actually have it confirmed? I mean, I never even saw that post anyways, so I don't know.
I'm not sure if that person had confirmation from Intrabartolo or not. It was confirmABLE at that point. Either way, it still seems like something that would have caused lots of talk on this board. I was just surprised.
OOOOhhhhh theres a book? well, I love this musical a lot. LOL hey does anyone think there is a possible way to get a free script to send to my theatre prof?

yes i did.
"my confirmation came from intrabartolo himself."
So we've established. Again. And again.
Yeah, literally.
I'm not interested in doing it in NYC, but my only other available venue is upstate an hour. When I do the show, it won't be for another year anyway - but still, "restricted" things piss me off. There's no reason why this show can't be done.
yea i don't know how to contact them at all, can someone please tell me how to contact the creative artist agency..and it was me who confirmed this w/damon weeks ago and it was ignored
Wow,
Maybe my dream of playing Peter, Jason, Matt or Lucas before I'm too old isn't so unattainable. I am kind of too excited for words right now.

the LA Cast Recording went for $225 - WOW. Do producers not realize the impact of this show? I'd think a producer would put money up for this show in a heartbeat. It got great reviews and has a big fanbase.
I just had a funny thought. If it gets produced in Chicago, it would most likely be at Bailiwick. If it does, then they will have Bare and Naked Boys Singing running at the same theatre!
Oh miss tshell88,
You shall see, my friend. You shall see. Hah...and my guess is you will be involved as well.

Any one confirm the number works?
