Well, you had until 2 to claim. You didn’t and those tickets are claimed by someone else now.
edit: Next time pay attention to the app when they pick names. I would never go by waiting for an email.

Hamilton doesn't "re-draw" for unsold tickets. They get sold at full price by the box office.
I read the OP's post as saying they didn't receive the email notifying that they won the lottery. You can't follow instructions if you don't know you won. (I'm not familiar enough with their lottery... is there an option to check status independent of an email)?

Posted: 10/1/21 at 9:13pmThe OP should’ve been checking the app, but the lottery system definitely shouldn’t be sending notification emails 4 hours after the deadline to accept. That’s a problem. Otherwise, it totally defeats the purpose of the emails. Probably worth notifying the powers that be, so they can at least fix the problem, even if there’s nothing they can do to help your personal situation.

I don’t snark here, because, well, there is more than plenty to go around already.
That said, this thread/OP is the epitome of entitlement. No one was screwed out of anything. You didn’t do your due diligence and should be frustrated with yourself for dropping the ball.
Hope you’re able to see the show soon.

The production bears absolutely no responsibility as to if/when email is received. For all anyone knows, the email was sent right after the lottery was completed and it got stuck somewhere. That’s certainly happened to me, and not infrequently.

I don't think you have much recourse, but I agree that being notified at 6:04 p.m. for something that had a 2 p.m. deadline is a pretty clear-cut case of getting screwed. Yes, you technically could have mitigated it by checking the app, but the fine print doesn't say "We will notify you via email, but email delivery times are inherently unreliable, so you should probably just check the app exactly at 12 p.m." It just says you will be notified via email.
No idea why people are attacking you instead of just being sympathetic. Winning the lotto but getting the email too late to claim it definitely sucks.

You have absolutely no idea why the email showed up late, so you can't really claim to know who or what is responsible. For all we know, the production's email server could have bugged out and sent the email late.

Posted: 10/1/21 at 11:32pmI would imagine it was a problem with whatever service they use for the lottery - and that’s actually who I was referring to when I said “the powers that be.” Who runs the lottery there, Lucky Seat? They actually have an account here and have been known to answer user questions on this board, and surely have a tech support email. Again, it’s unlikely that you’d be compensated in any way, but it’s definitely a bug in their system that they should be made aware of.

When no one answered my questions on here about their lottery, I emailed them. They were very quick to respond and very helpful. Reach out to them, maybe there was an error. It never hurts to ask....you never know. For the record, I believe the OP. Their results page is not working, for me, on the Hamilton lottery and hasn't worked in the two weeks I've tried. It doesn't tell me if I won or lost. It does nothing when I click on it. Could also be something really wrong with their notifications. Don't understand the attacking. Well, actually I do.

Their results page is not working. I informed of that well over a week ago. As of last Thursday, it still was not working. In addition, no emails.
