Please be sure to report back on the quality of the show.
LOL! Sorry, but to see the word quality associated with this production made me laugh out loud.
Get back to us when you have seen it jimny.
I'm going Wednesday night (2nd preview performance) as a part of a four show trip and will be sure to report back if ya'll are interested! It should be interesting...I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised at a high quality show. dang skepticism...

Isn't it tommorow? As in the 24th? Or are you in NY so it is technically the 24th there?
But yeah, I'm excited to hear about this!

I knew it wouldn't be long until you answered WonderfulWizard!
Anyway, I don't need to see this one. I'll let you tell us how wonderful it is when you see it.
Technically tonight in the east coast.
I'm sure it'll be at least a very energetic production even with the subpart material. I'm quite interested to see how Jenny Powers fares as Rizzo more than the two reality TV show kids.
I thought Sue Hawk was playing Rizzo.
Oh, I won't be going. I'm not too fond of Grease, good production or not.
I'll be there...and I will definitely report back!
I'll be there too! I'll report back as well.
I'm hoping to be surprised.

i just saw the gypsy run through tonight...let's just say, they have a lot of work to do during previews....
Guydancer-
I was there tonight too and I agree. Though it was very fun, there is still a lot of work to do, but the entire company is very talented!

And that's the #1 reason why I have my tickets for next week.
Too bad the gypsy run is a complete deception of the cast. It's all their friends, family...of course they're gonna like it. Who knows that a real audience would think?

I Agree with Ray. I can't think of any young actress/singer more exciting than Jenny Powers.
I won't be seeing this until the fall so I'll be very interested to hear what the people who post here think.
I'll be there tonight. I love Grease, and with this cast, I'm sure any problems can be ironed out and the show can be a hit.
Tell us how Jenny is!

i have say, right now the performances aren't really the problem...it's more about the staging and choreography, and how to make the numbers a little more exciting(which is why they have previews)...i think once max and laura become more comfortable, their performances will rise up to the level of some of the other more experienced cast members

Well it's hard to reinvent Pat Birch's choreography which has become synonymous with Grease.
Is it that Marshall's staging is dull, or that the actors don't gel together, making it look dull?
I am seeing this show on Sept 6th. Hopefully it will still be playing and with the winners of the NBC show!

choreo. and staging are a bit uninspired ...the big number at the end(you're the one that i want) has too much movement for danny and sandy while they're trying to sing. plus, there seems to be very little chemistry between the two. but that could be, because they were running around, jumping off counters, and spinning on stools, while trying to hit their marks and look like they're "into each other". i was exhausted for them after the number

Thought so.
Were they able to include Grease is the Word?

yeah , that's what they open the show with...and i think they do the curtain call to it as well
