Well, that and Cha-Cha being Krazy Glued to the floor

Hoping all the sound issues are worked out before it hits the west coast.

For those curious ones, Haneefah Wood is playing Blanche.
She has extensive Broadway, Off-Broadway and television credits.

Very few complaints. Sound issues can happen on live shows. How many shots did Fox exec knock back in that minute!!!
Joe Jonas' band looked foolish as a 50's band - Mohawks? And did anyone catch Mario Lopez calling it American Bandstand rather than National Bandstand?
Hough killed on 'hopelessly devoted'. Choreo was great on hand jive (missing the actual hand lives, but still)

Gotta give Vanessa props--- can't imagine what she's going thru ( lost my dad to cancer when he was only 44) --- would never have been able to perform

I am BEYOND impressed. Vanessa Hudgens has my utmost respect. She OWNED that song...BRILLIANT!

Vanessa is a true pro! I am sure she will be a complete mess once this is over.

I agree. The newly imagined concept is making it more accessible to 2016 and for the most part is working. I think this is the best "live" musical of the bunch. More work has gone into it and I have to hand it to them for coming up with new concepts. It is standing on its own and I am not making comparisons to other stage productions or the movie which is beloved by millions. I do think the chemistry between the leads needed more work but I am being picky. I also thought some of the balance between the vocals, orchestra and chorus was off. J Hough is much better than I thought she would be. Kudos to the production design, staging and costumes.

Vanessa is a clear example of an actress taking what she's going through and putting it into her work. I'm not sure about everything, but that song was stunning in voice and acting.
Also a huge bravo to that song - it still stands up as an all time great.

I see Emmy nominations on the horizon....especially on the technical side! What they have accomplished is GROUNDBREAKING

I am liking this more than I thought. So far the singers have been puuuurfect.. (Agree about Cha Cha- who cast her?)

'For those curious ones, Haneefah Wood is playing Blanch'
She was better as Gary Coleman.

Any chance they are going to change the ending? I usually turn it off before I get "slutty" Sandy

Im enjoying this so much more than any of the NBC productions.
