Interesting if these are final costumes that they decided not to have them match each other like the film and stage show- mother/daughter dresses.

Excellent choice! Didn't even think of her. Was hoping for Maya Rudolph but I can't wait to see Andrea Martin as Prudy!

They are pulling out all the stops with this cast. What a treat will it be to see Andrea Martin!

maybe they'll go out into left field for the Seaweed casting and pick Ben Vereen or Eddie Murphy.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Finding the right talent with an open schedule, and negotiating a contract takes time. After they are signed then they have to pick an appropriate time for a press release.

TBH- I personally really miss having Hairspray on Broadway- it's only been 7 years since the show closed, but I still miss it every time I go to NYC. a revival would be incredible, if not soon, but sometime down the road!!

Kristin's dress- it's like something you'd wear to a premiere. I can't figure out for which scene she's wear it. If it's for the finale- talk about plain. but she looks awesome. I am assuming this is just promo shoots and the costumes will change.

This looks interesting. I hope they put padding on jennifer hudson since motormouth maybelle is a big woman. They should adjust ariana's wig a tiny bit. I know these aren't the final costumes and i know they will get much better.

Chenoweth's dress is very in line with how Pfeiffer was protayed in the movie.

True, except Michelle's dresses where not gowns like she is wearing, they were dresses and suits. even the finale was- but keep in mind she did not do any dancing in YCSTB. If they include the Von Tussles in the finale, that long dress may cause issues with choreography. LOL

I will say, Ariana's costume is a bit leggy. Considering how conservative Penny's mother is, I think it could be a little longer (until we get to the finale of course).
