I plan on waiting in line this coming Sunday (10/30) with my Hamilton obsessed son (Hi Nick...I know you're going to read this!). Thank you all for your insight. Based upon what I've read through this thread I am actually excited to experience the whole process with the culmination of seeing the show with him. If we are shooting for the matinee is 6am a decent time to arrive? Thanks again!!

The past few months that time range has usually been a good time to arrive but it's gotten more crowded in the past two weeks so I'm not sure how it is currently

Huss417 Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. I stopped following this thread for a while. My ticket was in the center orchestra and I paid $199. I'm not sure what qualifies as a "Premium Seat" but i can tell you I had an amazing view from my aisle seat in row G.

Reading your post I was curious about a couple of things. You mention people farther back in the line took the first premium tickets offered. When you got your ticket for Row G 101 was that for Orch or Mezz and how much was the ticket?

^^ It is really hard to say. There doesn't seem to be a pattern about ticket availability for the cancellation line. When I was there two weeks ago on a Tuesday, I was 8th in line at 11am and at least 15 of us got in. The 15th person probably didn't get there until mid afternoon. Just do your best to get there early and good luck.

Even if 1130 arrival may not get you a seat, you can watch on Stubhub for a single ticket. I'm sure you can get one much lower than $900! You just have to factor in the amount of time to print out your ticket from the StubHub center and get back to the theater for the show (I wouldn't cut it any shorter than 30 min before curtain, and even that may be too close).

FYI, if $900 is really your budget, you can use a professional line sitting service and pretty much be assured that they will get there first. And even that wouldn't run you $900.

I was line sitting for someone who went there at 5 AM (2nd place in line) and I took over for him at 6:30 AM for the rest of the day. The first person came at 2 AM, the guy I line sat for at 5 AM, a girl with her mom a bit after 5 AM, a guy buying tickets for his girlfriends birthday at around 5:30 AM, a family buying 6 tickets after 6:30 AM, and so on. By the time they gave out tickets there were 20-25 people in the line, I expected there to be more because of the documentary + some OBC leaving but I guess the cold balanced it out.



They gave out 4 SRO tickets at 10 AM (sometimes they don't even have any and if they do they give it at the end not when the box office opens so this was surprising) and I grabbed one, you can't beat $40 to see Hamilton imo.



This was my second time seeing the show and it was just as amazing as the first time, the cast differences between my first and second time watching it were Michael Luwoye ---> Javier Munoz for Hamilton, Elizabeth Judd ----> Lexi Lawson for Eliza, Oak ----> Andrew Chapelle for Mulligan, and a few ensemble changes. Michael was definitely better than Javier and even Lin (I saw him on a bootleg) but Lin was better than Javier, Elizabeth and Lexi were about the same and I loved both their performances, and Oak was better than Andrew although Andrew's performance had more energy in it.

Wednesday the 30th appears to be a one show day as opposed to two. As per the calendar on ticketmaster there will only be an 8pm show that day. To be honest like the others have said its hard to predict any pattern when it comes to how many seats will be released to the line any given day. 10 am seems like a good time to line up for an 8 pm show. Should give you a decent shot. Tickets are released right until the last moment ( I got mine at 1:58pm for the 2:00pm show on a Sat so you have to hang in there. Good Luck!

What time do you think I should be there for a Friday night? Willing to show up whenever.

If anyone has any updates on this weekend's line, please let us know! I did the line on Wednesday and they only gave out five tickets. +5 standing room tickets. I know that next weekend is going to be crazy with Anthony and Christopher leaving, but would still love to know what it was like this Saturday and Sunday if anybody has any information in a few days. :) thanks in advance!
