I lost the online lotto today, unfortunately.
BTW, as long as there's a thread about the Hamilton lotto, I'd like to pose my own question: both TodayTix and the Public's website say "During the run of HAMILTON,a pair of tickets will be available for each performance for $10 per ticket." When they say "a pair of tickets," does that mean that there will only be 2 tickets sold via TodayTix lotto for each performance? So there will only be 1 winner for every performance? Or am I misunderstanding their wording?
Yes, that's how I understand it. They give two tickets away for 10 bucks for each performance. So, only two people in the world have won the lottery so far.

I've never heard of a show lotto doing that before. That really sucks. I guess when they say they have an "ongoing commitment to making theater accessible to everyone" what they really mean is, "ongoing commitment to making theater accessible to a couple of very lucky people."
Are they doing the same thing with the $20 in-person lotto? Or is that one more like a regular lotto with like 20 seats?

the today tix thing is a marketing gimmick, they bought a pair of tickets for every performance and use it as a marketing tool hoping to get people to buy tickets for other shows, and please The Public
I was able to get a $25 student ticket for Hamilton a few months ago, I'd call that pretty accessible. The show was completely sold out before they extended again so it's great that they're offering even a pair of tickets per performance.

I'm pretty sure they gave away a lot more than that today for the first preview which was all free. Some tickets were distributed at the Public via an in-person lottery but the rest were given away through the Today Tix app.
TodayTix did the same 2 tickets per show lottery with FOUND and THREE PENNY. I'm not sure how much it was, but it was around this price.

I found it odd they emailed me at 12:04 that I had lost the lottery. From my experience with the On The Town lottery, they will wait until all the tickets are claimed before sending an email that you have lost because of the chance that tickets will not be claimed within an hour and will then be offered to a new batch of winners. They couldn't have all been claimed that quickly. Pretty shady.
^ HOLY GOD.

Considering the popularity of this show, I dont really think they gave too many away. I guess from this point forward, the lottery on the app will just be for two tickets.
A friend got in standby and posted "Holy ****. It's amazing."
This makes me glad that I bought tickets instead of doing the lottery for this when I come in to the city in a few weeks. These numbers are ridiculous in the best way possible.
I really want to see this show and am ready to put in a ton of effort to get at ticket.
Is this lotto (the two online tickets and the in person lotto at the theater) the only way to get tickets? All other tickets are sold out? The 6-year-old theater critic said he waited 7 hours- is there a standby option as well?

^ Yes. That would be the cancellation line. They're full price, though.

Has anyone tried the in-person lottery? The tickets seem to all sold out now. Do they set aside tickets for the lottery, or no? Any information will help~ Thanks!

I was there last night for the in-person lotto. Me and 100 other people, give or take. I think about 11 tickets were sold via lotto. There were zero tickets available for the standby (full price) line.

I've tried the in person lotto a few times (won once-- on my first try), and each time they've had 10 or 11 tickets. First three names called are in the front row (I was third name called when I won, got front row all the way house left, and my friends another time were also third name called and in the same seats). About 100 people each time I've gone.
The show is absolutely incredible. Of the aprox. 150 shows I've seen in New York City, this one takes the cake. I wish all of you trying to see it the best of luck!
