Off the top of my head, you will miss two "show-stopper" effects that take place out in the house (as opposed to on the stage). Note, however, that "miss" is not really the right word; you can still catch them if you twist around in your seat to look at what's behind you; you just have to know when to look."

Is anyone else going to the shows on Halloween and if so do you plan on dressing up?? My partner and I have tickets for October 31st and we're considering going in potter wear.

Definitely go in Potter wear! Some people go dressed up on a normal show day, I imagine Halloween would be super extra and amazing to see!! Hope this helps! :)

Is there a Cursed Child Spoiler thread? That actually may be really fun for those of us who have seen it to have a space where we can freely talk about any aspect of the show we want and relive the magic!

I read your reply with particular interest for Saturday, Sept 29th. Tickets for both parts on Saturday seem to be in high demand on Ticketmaster with only Prime (@$199/part) and Premium (@$325/part) available.

Does your advice to wait apply to Saturday shows where more vacationing theater goers are likely to want to see both parts in one day?

I don't know if I should just bite the bullet or wait for these 20/40/80 tickets - or something close to that range.

It's impossible to say what the Box Office will be doing in December, but if I had to guess, I imagine it'll stay similar to what is currently happening. They're obviously holding back a lot of seats, knowing demand is high and wanting to accommodate a wide range of people.

My prediction is that in September and October, it may become easier again to get extremely last minute $20/$40/$80 tickets, which is what was happening through all of March, April, and May, but has since stopped. I would imagine that with the holidays, they'll drop that system again in November, and go back to the current system.

My recommendation would be to hold off for a bit, but probably buy the tickets in the fall. Even if you buy a seat at $160 or $180 each, the best deal you're likely to get in December is $130. At the end of the day, that's a small price to pay for some peace of mind.

(Side note - if you have any colleagues in NYC, I really recommend buying directly from the box office. A few of the times I've seen the show, I've scoped out tickets (religiously) online, and then gone to the Box Office. The price range is always the same, but they always offer me better seats than Ticketmaster gives me. Like 3rd row mezz at $180 instead of the 8th row that was available on Ticketmaster.)

I work in NYC so easy to go to BO - was thinking in fall after summer will likely have more availability than now but will seats at that price level actually open up and is there a way to have BO search other than asking individual date by individual day (would love to be able to go and say "are any $40 seats available for anything in next two months" without having to do 60 searches.

They don’t have the $40 or $20 tickets anymore, not online at least. They went away after it won the Tony? I could be wrong though. I looked for later in the year a while back and saw it available for some dates, but when I looked recently I couldn’t find any. I also noticed that this week and some upcoming dates the $80 tickets were raised to $95.

So I guess the only cheap way to see the show again is to just try the lottery? Curious if someone has stopped by the box office and asked for the $20/$40 tickets though.
