Actors Equity in New York yesterday gave out a number of comps. They are all in the balcony.
I just thought I'd give this a bump for this weekend.

Was this on Saturday? Did anyone go? Can't wait to hear back reports!

Yes, I was there but I don't think it seemly to comment on rehearsals. I'll chime in when it begins performances.
^ I guess that's not a ringing endorsement. Intrigued.
Yes, that doesn't sound encouraging
It's always been proper etiquette to not comment on dress rehearsals. I'm not sure why you are interpreting his post negatively.
Particularly a dress rehearsal 5 days before the first preview. I can't imagine all the tech elements were in place.
Their final dress is Tuesday. I wonder with the storm that's on track if they'll be forced to cancel it.
I was looking through Instagram photos of the shubert to see if any cast members have taken pictures of the set(found none), but I was confused by this photo. https://instagram.com/p/BRhT_cclDXw/
Does Bette have two dressing rooms?? I get she's a huge star, but why would she need two dressing rooms, which are also on separate floors.
I guessing that one is an actual dressing room and the second will be more of a sitting room where she can visit with celebrity friends,in a slightly more "classy" way.

Since Donna Murphy is only on once a week, my guess is that the first floor dressing room is hers when she's there, but Bette gets it the rest of the week. Just spitballing on that, though.

So kind of like the Bloomingdales room at DEH?
The first floor room might be used for changes during the show.
The "star" dressing room at the Shubert just off the stage is fairly small (some shows have used it as a Stage Management office instead.)
As others have speculated, I assume the secondary dressing room for Midler on the second floor will double as a green room for her guests and also give her more space to sprawl out between shows, etc.
Considering how many elaborate costumes and changes Doll goes through throughout the show, maybe one room is dedicated to Bette's costumes and the costume changes?

Girl; I don't know where you think you were..but you weren't there because it hasn't happened yet. I believe there first invited is this afternoon. Geese so much BS on this board.
Could be that they are apart of the production? Give them the benefit of the doubt. Pretty sure someone wouldn't post that if it wasn't actually true, since people on here should know they'll be called out on the spot.
It could be Jorge. But it isn't. It is true they might've seem a run through. But the invited dress rehearsals have not begun.
There are dress rehearsals before invited dress rehearsals. In fact the cast has probably been in costume (or parts thereof) for a couple weeks already.
Well this is getting juicy.
If the final dress on Tuesday is cancelled, I hope it won't affect the first preview.

Nobody said they were at an invited dress rehearsal... just simply that they were there. Sit down.

That is NOT what they said.
