I tried to like them but I can't. They make me sick.

I don't know how people do it. I never made it all the way through the first episode with their stupid crap and their autotune. But congrats to people who could do it.
Ever since it premiered, friends I only see once in a while inevitably say, "Oh, you must love Glee too! It's so your thing." I don't know why they think of me as having taste that would make it my thing.

Well I've never said "I now hate GLEE," since I've pretty much hated it from the beginning. So I guess I say "I've always hated GLEE."
What's Glee?

I now like love.
My friend said Glee was my type of TV show and the I MUST watch it and that I would LOVE it. It triggers my gag reflexes. The show makes me sick. I haven't watched it since the first few episodes I tried of the first season.
I get that all the time.
I've decided that I hate those that now hate me for hating Glee.
So there. :p

bwayphreak234, I am glad you said that because I had a visceral response to the first episode. It made me queasy. It called up all the feelings in me that people who hate musicals say they feel. The whole thing made me kinda sick.
I want to join the club of people who hate being told by people who like GLEE that they are so surprised I don't like. It's not my kind of show. I watched two episodes and couldn't handle it.
As I say to them, "I love LIVE theatre, so what on earth would make you think I want to hear teens warble to pre-recorded autotune. I like LIVE singing without effects. Now go away."
Exactly! I always get grief for not watching this show, but I literally cannot bring myself to like this show. It's not even funny how bad it is. Everyone thinks it's so witty and quick, I just find it ridiculous. Sorry :/
Me too.

You just summarized the show perfectly, bettyboy.

My problem is people always ask me what I think of Lea Michele's singing and then they get all upset when I say IMO she's "okay." I just think there are so many MT singers who are better.
If I had a gag reflex, Glee would trigger it.
Wow, the haters even steal the Glee like page. They wont give up. It's fine that you don't like the show, but why do the haters feel the need to bash it? So negative.
why do the haters feel the need to bash it?
Because we hate it...
Thanks for such a strong response. I completely see where you are coming from now. I hate that the show has brought attention to such a wide variety of music and that it has encouraged students to join choir and theatre. I really can't stand that they showcase a variety of people especially minorities since they are flooding TV shows anyway. The worst has to be the positive and realistic portrayal of gay and lesbian students. Let's start a I hate Glee campaign and once we get that rolling we should start a I hate American Idol campaign because amateur singers shouldn't have a chance of a career.

What the hell is a Glee like page?
I'm not crazy about the show but I have a great deal of respect for the fact that so many musical numbers are created, choreographed, and finished so quickly. And done very well!
Plus I love watching Heather Morris.
Phyllis - I was wondering the same thing.

That gave me a chuckle.

Honestly, if the show didn't focus so much on the money aspect. They do songs cause they will make money ("Bieber is the epitome of rock" my ass) and some of those people can actually sing well, i feel like the young generation they're trying to appeal to likes that sound. The thing that really grinds my gears? When all of the glee club comes in and you hear this automated voice.
