I was just about to ask that. I'm going to guess when the Prince finds Cinderella and they ride off, and when she returns back to the woods because she sneaks away from her kingdom.
I don't know, I'm pretty sure Sophia Grace may end up being Red Riding Hood

^ My odds are still on that girl who appeared as a contestant on 'Britain's Got Talent'.

I don't know :- Sophia Grace is pretty big right now. Besides Little Red in my vision should be on the plump side. And Sophie Grace is the perfect girl for that.

I still can't believe Anna Kendrick is playing Cinderella, she's going to rock that role. I really was hoping for a name for Little Red, it is surprising they haven't announced it if they already started rehearsals. I imagine whoever is playing the roles that haven't been announced are in rehearsals as well, right?
Little Red is a big part, so I hope they cast it soon!
I guess I'm cool with Sophia Grace. She's kinda crazy, but I think it would work for the part.
Still hoping for one of the characters to be non-white (well, actually two, counting Granny). I just think it would make it more interesting in the mix. It wouldn't hurt with widening the audience appeal, either.
Sophia Grace's music video from a couple of months ago has over 10 million hits already. Even if it's auto-tuned to hell. I've seen clips of her singing live on "Ellen." She can do it just fine.

That girl from Britans Got Talent is absolutely incredible! She has the presence and a stellar voice for such a young age, I'd rather see her than Sophia. A black Red Riding Hood would be nice, since the cast so far is all white. Whoopi Goldberg can be the Granny
I really can't see Assandra as Little Red. Sophia is definitely too young for the part, but she's delightful.
Still hoping for Lilla...
words cannot explain how excited i am about anna kendrick! I just hope Johhny Depp doesnt do his over the top schtick

"Horse riding lessons? When is there a horse?"
There is a horse in the original Broadway production, and Cinderella does ride on it. I imagine it will be in the same spot in the movie as it was on stage.

Not a single person of color. A shame really, this story is perfect way to feature actors of color.

Wow. That is kind of fascinating. I wonder how the Wolf/Little Red story will play out now. I just looked it up - she is 10 and Daniel Huttlestone is 13.
Not really sure it is a "shame" that no one of color is in this film. I am sure many people of color could have played these parts wonderfully but at the end of the day the right people ( in the creative team's mind) were cast, and those people just happened to be all white. I see nothing wrong with that. Not sure why Race is an issue.

I think having a Little Red that isn't anywhere near puberty even pretty much takes away a big chunk of her character's journey. Even a hint of sexuality or exploration is going to come off as gross and pedophilic.
The "buzz" is that her test was fantastic, so I'm not surprised she got the part. She'll probably surprise us all and steal the whole movie.
Now that she's a "whitey," I'm hoping for Bernadette Peters or Angela Lansbury as her Granny.

Not a shame that the creatives didn't seek a person of color just because they could. A shame in the sense that roles where race isn't a real factor are few and far between, and this has become a missed opportunity for an actor of color to take on that type of role. I wouldn't call it an issue. Updated On: 8/6/13 at 09:52 PM

I'm still confused what the hell this musical is even about. I tried to read the synopsis on Wikipedia, but that didn't help.
The synopsis is pretty.... easy to understand.
@RW3, Buy the DVD: http://www.amazon.com/Into-Woods-Bernadette-Peters/dp/B00001PE59/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375840597&sr=8-1&keywords=Into+the+woods
Or just be wait till the film comes out in theatres. Sometimes going into a movie you know nothing about can be very fun.
There were opportunities to cast Little Red and her Granny or Jack and his Mother as people of color. No reason why not. They just didn't. It may not be a "shame," but it's a "disappointment," at least to me.
As for going younger with both Jack and (especially) Little Red, I think it's fine. The more I think about someone like Sophia Grace (who is a bit cartoonish and over-the-top) going toe-to-toe with crazy Johnny Depp, playing one of his crazy Johnny Depp roles as the Wolf, it will probably be very funny and anything but "sexual," which I'm sure will sit well with Disney.
As for her "knowing things now," you can lose a bit of your innocence without losing your virginity. She's become "streetwise," just a bit.
She "know things now" also doesn't imply that she's "done things now."
It almost (but not quite) guarantees the removal of any sexual overtones or tensions in that scene with the Wolf.
And I'll bet you they screen tested together (Depp and Sophia Grace), just to see how it would come off before they made their decision.
Why don't you try watching it?

I'm not sure how I feel about this.
"The "buzz" is that her test was fantastic,"
That's good to know.
