Couldn’t find a post on this but wanted to know if anyone has any word on casting. I know it’s still several months away, I’m just a littler surprised how quiet this has been since the February announcement.

Is it just me or does their artwork look like a Netflix true crime documentary?

It’s very TWIN PEAKS or horror imo. Which is perhaps deliberate (for act 2 at least).
Oh god Tammy Faye is playing the Bakers Wife. I’ve only been to London twice before and the best thing I ever saw there was Aspects of Love. I was hoping the leading lady, Laura Pitt Pulford would play the bakers wife, she’s a great actress and beautiful singer.
Jamie Parker, Chumisa Dornford-May, and Kate Fleetwood are a pretty fantastic trio of actors in three of the largest roles. I’m not familiar with anyone else in the cast’s prior work, but those three alone are at least interesting choices to me.

Interesting is not exciting, which is my point.

Jamie as The Baker made this my most anticipated show for the rest of the year.
Interesting, exciting, whatever. Those three actors piqued my interest more than the prospect of another Into the Woods revival did on its own.
With all due respect, this cast was exciting. As was the Encores! original cast. The Bridge cast is…fine. I’m hopeful all the same.

Very curious as to why. It’s saw him in History Boys and Potter but nothing else in his resume suggests a great Baker.
Seeing him in Benjamin Button and Next to Normal, he gave two of the best performances from an actor I’ve ever seen in a musical.

That must mean the only show you’ve ever seen in London is Aspects, because that production was BAdddddddd
What??? It was exquisite!! Trashy behavior with classical music, love!!!
okay well, since Laura Pitt Pulford isn't involved and you two are arguing about a completely different topic -
Kate Fleetwood is the Witch, which is casting that instantly perks my ears up. I had no idea she was a singer, but good god I know from seeing her in Macbeth and on the tv show Harlots that she could sound like Harvey Fierstein with Laryngitis and still EAT this role.

Kate Fleetwood handled several big numbers well when she played another witch, Cruella de Vil, in the "101 Dalmations" musical at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre in 2022.

Co-sign. Seems like a role he was born to play.
I wonder if they would take him to Broadway in Benjamin button but I guess the other actor won the Olivier even tho Parker is better and more of a name in ny
I didn't find Jamie's performance in Next to Normal to be that believable or heartbreaking from what I remember of the proshot, but he isn't horrible. Since this is my second favorite show ever I will hold onto hope he is good. I think he is at least the fitting kind of guy for the part and he isn't boring. He could be fun or bring some oomph to the role.
On paper, these names are perfectly fine. Many of whom I’ve seen recently. But let’s be honest: this isn’t a Woods you’d make a special trip out to see based on casting. Hopefully something special will come from it.
Last week my Brit theater friend mentioned that the rumored cast was Kate Fleetwood, Arthur Darville and Katie Brayben and I jumped immediately to grab a ticket for my next London work trip based on Kate Fleetwood alone. Jamie Parker made it even more of a must see for me. Lady Macbeth as the Witch? Yes, please.

I'll be honest, that just looks like what you'd get if you asked ChatGPT to make the Bridge cast American. Those are the same people they just tip more.
