Just finished listening to the OBC recording of this underrated musical, I really, really like it. I'm surprised that neither ENCORES! or Reprise have done a concert staging of this show. I would like to see what they would do with the material. It would also be interesting to see who they would cast. Updated On: 7/23/10 at 01:34 AM
I saw the original with Michelle Lee and worked on the tour with Lucie Arnaz and John Gavin. The show is a mess and the ending is, frankly, so depressing. Nice score, though.
I would love to see them do this. I think Idina Menzel would make a very good Geittel. My big fear is who do we have, male dancer wise, that could play David?
I think the score has its moments. I like the finale, despite its sadness. Perhaps. I'd rather see them tackle an obscure Kander and Ebb show first though.
I am a huge lover of Cy Coleman and would love for this to get a staging. The score is a little uneven imo, but the good far outweighs the mediocre. And I consider "Nobody Does It Like Me" to be a bona fide classic.

BTW, I'm thinking the Kritzer and Patrick Wilson for SEESAW.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
I swear to God, there has to be some kind of rights f**kery going on with THE GOLDEN APPLE...there's no reason why no one has tried to do a concert of it yet.

SEESAW was the first broadway show I ever saw....I admit, I don't remember all that much safe for Michelle Lee and Tommy Tune...sat in the VERY last row of the then Uris Theatre.....it'd be great for Encores to do it. Someone needs to revive shows that never get revived...not just the same old same old. (Don't get me wrong, I like the same old's as much as anyone does...but lets see something else that we can rediscover)
i like the score from Seasaw but if you listen all the songs sung by Michelle Lee sound almost identical strange to me her voice does not change at all during any song always the same very bland sound mostly ..I do like it but the show is kind of "dated"
