Thanks Trey! Maybe it was just my Mac Powerbook, because it's working on my PC at work. At least I got to see it!
It is pretty ridiculous how adorable he is. The bubbletweet made me smile.
Yeah the bubbletweet doesn't work on my macbook. Hm.
Double post sorry but I went on a pc and yes it's too cute.

Bubbletweet worked on my macbook, I use Safari. Re the hardcopy of Gavin's CD, I asked a few pages back but bc we're discussing it now I'll ask again. How much is goodtimenation at the theater?

Not sure. He was selling it for $10 @ the Joe's Pub shows, so maybe $10? Don't quote me on that though.
I'm on safari too. Huh.
10$ seems a little low, doesn't it? If that's the truth then that's great.

I just checked with my bff (she paid for the CDs at Joe's) and they were $10 there. So unless they are shooting up the price for the theater, I'd say $10. If they shoot it up, I'd say $20.

His activism is sexy hot. (and I'm a straight female)
It sure is!! :)
Taking action for something you care deeply about is one of the hottest things a person can do in my book. CARING about something that much is hot- so many people these days are just totally apathetic about everything. The world needs more people like Gavin who actually DO things about the changes they want to see in the world <3

Heya everybody! So I just got back home from seeing the 2pm performance of Hair today and I just have to talk about how amazing Gavin was. Before the show even started I was getting that anxious excited energy of waiting for it to start and eager to see him come on the stage. His Manchester England was really funny with him falling out of his "English" accent and the rest of the tribe teasing him over it. His "I Got Life" was really incredible and he even added a few extra riffs and high notes that just made me swoon. He was a little out of breath it seemed during "Hair" but I'll explain why in a bit. Finally his "Where Do I Go" was so heartfelt that my eyes were glued on him and rarely left him despite of what the rest of the tribe was doing behind him
His interaction with the rest of the Tribe and the audience was just so enjoyable to watch. He truly seemed to be having fun up there and living in the moment of it. Now I'd give a review of his second act but unfortunately he wasn't able to continue on for that Right before Intermission ended Gavin limped out with one of the directors/stage managers helping him to personally tell the audience that he had sprained his ankle during "I Got Life" and that he wouldn't able to continue. Although I was sad to see him leave I really appreciated him coming out to tell the audience himself than a disembodied announcement. Paris went on for him and he was incredible as well so I wasn't too disappointed. I just wish I had gotten the chance to take a picture with him. At the stagedoor I talked to Paris and he said he was going on for Gavin as well tonight so hopefully Gavin isn't hurt too bad and will be back on for the next show.
Sorry if this is rather long I just wanted to share my experience with all you Creel fans :) Lets all wish Gavin a speedy recovery and hope that he gets well soon!

Wow, I thought the injury might have happened towards the end of Act 1, but to go through a good portion of it with a hurt ankle is amazing. I can't believe he did that. Here's to hoping he heals quickly and he's not in too much pain.
Also, glad you had a great time markcohen!

RE Goodtimenation CD at the theatre:
When I went to the souvenir stands [both upstairs and downstairs] I didn't see Gavin's CD out on display. It could have been that I just passed by them rather quickly, I only bought a souvenir program from the second floor stand, but I did not see any indication that his CD was sold there. Again I could be completely wrong so don't quote me on that.
And Leia I did have a great time! My sister and I were seated Right Orchestra Row C so we were right by the door where many of the cast entrances and exits were made from. It was a lot of fun. As far as Gavin's injury goes from what I heard from Paris [which was a brief few sentences mind you] he was given notice right after that song to prepare if Gavin felt he couldn't make it through and take over from "Hair" onward. Obviously that didn't happen because Gavin was such a trooper and pushed right through it. His performance honestly didn't miss a beat though and I never even noticed him stumble when he hurt himself which is why it was such a surprise!
What a trooper. Thanks for the great review MarkCohen!

Sending lots of love Gavin's way...ankle injuries are the worst. Oh Great God of Healing to this cast?!
Thanks for the review MarkCohen. It sounds like it was an eventful experience. Live theater...you never know what will happen.
I think it is pretty classy that he told the audience that he would not continue. It shows that he respects the audience and probably felt bad about not continuing. I hope he feels better.

Yea myself and the rest of the audience really appreciated it. Only odd thing was right after he walked offstage the show started right up again catching a lot of people in the aisles and making for fun interactions!
What I felt bad about was this was only his second day back from vacation right? Doesn't get much of a break now does he
Odd that he sprained his ankle in Hair and not Mary Poppins. I would have expected something like that to be more likely in Poppins.
I'm guessing it happened druing those ending jumps in I Got Life. Wouldn't take very much to land poorly and twist your ankle. Let's hope that's all it is.
The only thing he's said about it so far is his twitter which simply says, "Ugh."

Heya All!
Being an insomniac sometimes presents some interesting opportunities and discoveries. With that I present you this video I found of Gavin singing "I Got Life" from his recent Joes Pub concert. He has a funny line flub on it but otherwise its a pretty great version.

I hope you enjoy and sorry if its been posted already!
I wish I could re-live the Joe's Pub show a million times.

Morning, friends! From Gavin's FB: "all will be fine. just gotta let go and go with it."
Hope that means he's feeling okay. Boy need to get cut a break, for god's sake!
Heh, I was going to get up early this morning to grab SRO tickets, but right before I went to sleep I found out that Gavin got hurt, and since I don't want to see the show without him, decided not to chance it. I will feel very silly if he ends up being on tonight! I hope he feels better soon though. I can deal with feeling silly. :)

As someone who saw Paris last night, and Jay on Saturday, I can honestly say that no one should be disappointed if they find any Claude on. They each bring something totally different to the role and each is brilliant in his own way.

Hence, why I'm still going to try and get SRO tix on Saturday for the 8pm show. I'm curious to see how Jay/Paris does!
