Wait, Gavin is going to be out this Saturday night? How do you guys keep track of all of this?
I'm sure both Paris and Jay are great and I wouldn't mind seeing one of them at some point. I have nothing against seeing understudies and like seeing different takes on roles, but it's just a personal preference -- and I have plans to go with a friend who has not seen the show yet and very much wants to see Gavin.

As of right now, don't know much. He could be okay by Saturday for all we know. But being someone who has sprained both her ankles a number of times, he might need to stay off it for at least a week or two, depending on how bad it is. If he just twisted it or something, he might be okay in a day or so.
And I'm with you, luvtheEmcee. I'm spoiled by the Gavin/Will chemistry. But I would like to see the understudies at some point... though I'd prefer Jay/Paris with Steel. But I'm open for anything
I thought Jay was WONDERFUL. He was so sincere and lovely backstage afterwards as well. A friend of mine saw Jay with me, and then Paris the next day and liked him, just not as much as Jay. (She didn't have the chance to see Gavin.)
Oh, okay, it sounded like you were referring to a planned absence. I was thinking about going Saturday. I guess I'll just hope the best for Gavin and play it by ear!
It's Will Swenson's fault that I am in love with George Berger, and I would not have it any other way.

If Gavin's out the rest of the week, it'll most likely be Paris who is on for him since there are several ensemble members out this week and so most-if not all-of the swings will be on to cover the ensemble. Jay was on for John Moauro last night, and I believe his the only one who knows that track. I could be wrong, though.
I absolutely love Jay's take on Claude, he's so youthful and he just steals the attention whenever he's meant to and doesn't let go of it. I'm completely in love with his entire interpretation of the role, there are a few improvements to make, but certainly not very many. It's hard to say which Claude is "best' or "better," because they are all really different and have different strong points and weak points.
As far as chemistry with Will, Gavin and Will have the absolute strongest, but Jay and Will are a close second, the only difference is that it seems more brotherly than "best friend." However, no other Claude has chemistry with Caissie like Gavin.
I was at yesterday's matinee - the show's in great shape, despite all the injuries! No one noticed Gavin being at all hurt from "I Got Life" on...in fact, my friend and I were talking about how unbelievably on he was during the act and that the vacation must have done him good.
Paris performed magnificently in very stressful conditions. He's my new hero. :) His performance is different, but just as heartfelt and strong as Gavin's (almost). As a huge Gavin fan, I wasn't disappointed in the least.
Jay's fb says he's on for the tribe tonight so rock it Paris!

Ouch. That must've been so painful for him to limp through the rest of the first act. I can't even imagine. I hope he has a nice, fast recovery. Gosh, do you think he'll be back by September 19th?

Gavin's FB: "it's not broken. just boo-boo'ed. thanks for the positive vibes. everything happens as it happens and, you know....it's all good"
That's an awfully big air-cast/walking boot for just a boo-boo
(obviously I have nothing better to do at work since we can't log on to our servers right now. grrr)
Aww, poor Gavin. Paris was at the B&N event in his stead; he was pretty adorable, and got great reception from the audience.

Aww! I feel so bad for him! Hope he gets well soon. He litterally "broke a leg"!

this is a LEVIS ad that is all over town right now. i had to take a picture of it. because it is true. it is right.
when i was in london, i guess i was going through a tough time or something, but i made up my own little version of this sentiment, and when i saw this ad, it reminded me of it.
?i need what i have, and i have what i need?
now, when i really think about that....really think....it is true. and if i TRULY believed it, i wouldn?t spend much time in sadness or worry or stress. i?m human, so, hell, it is bound to creep up on me sometimes. but, thanks to the jeans sponsor of HAIR, i am reminded...
LET GO.
what you have, you have. and you actually need it. for something. lesson, distraction, slowing down, speeding up. whatever.
i want to switch my thinking now. i want to let go. of the control. there is no control. let go of it.
i?m going to watch the finale of TOP CHEF masters and then go to bed.
good night wally. good night puffy ankle.
peace
g
I really needed that today.
