They lost me with Jennifer Hudson as Grizabella.  That is not a rendition of Memory I'm looking forward to hearing.

This honestly sounds like Springtime for Hitler. Something so impossibly horrible that it’s almost brilliant.

But then again, Cats was always kind of that.

Well we know there has been dancer auditions and members of the Royal Ballet cast, so most likely live action (or partly).

It could be motion capture(ala Avatar) - although I have no idea if motion capture can be translated into the cat imagery between now and the release date.

I intend to see this film on opening night with a big bucket of popcorn.  It's going to be so wonderfully awful.  I truly can't wait to watch this nightmare play out on screen.

Everytime there is a new casting for this, I click to see who it is and what role they will play and I constantly feel like.....

Yeah, he's actually classically trained. Doesn't mean this movie is gonna suck less but his vocals definitely won't be a problem.
