Wybish, as you well know, as you were on that thread, i apologized to broadwayguy for calling him a JB fan and that i went below the belt. He said, it was OK, he deserved it. and we literally xoxo each other and all was good.

The "being a JB" fan was not the most offensive part, or is the commentor the only person allowed to decide what is most offensive? Just like Dave and his racist jokes?

Remember that thread about Rita Moreno winning the Supporting Actress Oscar? Something comparing her to Anne Hathaway, I never got why that one got deleted. Is it because Rita is Puerto Rican? Was Anne being bullied?

I'm confused. Dave19 didn't even enter the conversation until the middle of the third page page. Before his first post we read "fo' sho'", "Anniqua", "Shanikuah", "LOL. Black people and their funny names LOL", "Shalanaqua from the weave store", Cool Aid (sic), "You guys are just so funny. Do you think Annie should drink a lot of grape soda and play dice on the street, too? Should her teeth be white or should she have a grill? Will Sandy be a pit bull she fights for cash? What other stereotypes would you like to see in the movie?", "We'd Like To Thank You, Colonel Sanders", "are you forgetting that Benjamin Stacks is also a drug dealer?", "I am so glad I found a board dedicated to keeping musical theater white! I am thrilled to be in the same
company as all of you! I bet Mrs. Pugh serves Benji Negrobucks fried chicken and watermelon instead of Virigina Ham and Baked Alaska! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

All before Dave19 wrote a word but no one ganged up on any of those posters. Oscar Hammerstein II was right, you do have to be carefully taught who to hate. Can someone post a list of posters we're supposed to hate on sight and who gets a pass for writing essentially the same things?

Except many of those posts were made mockingly of the reaction this announcement provoked.

And actually, people DID object right away to those posts. I think the big difference is those poster didn't stick around trying to assert that not only were there jokes funny, but that those who didn't like them were, in fact, the racists.

I don't hate Dave; I don't know him. But I dislike casual racism, phony logic, and hypocrisy.

You're right, I misread you. But as I never saw the posts that were deleted about All That Jazz, I can't comment on them. But, still, you seem to be saying that I was saying was bullying, when I just pointed out the incongruity of posting a racist comment, then posting "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" and then saying "I'm not racist at all."

So yeah, there's my mea culpa.
