Just wanted to remind everyone in case they wanted to watch.
Just one last reminder.
Thank you so much. I did not know this.
Any new info about two cities?
Will James Barbour star it if it makes to Broadway?
All I really can say is it will hopefully be on Broadway in 2005 or 2006. I am waiting to see if there is an official announcement. (I read the 2005 or 2006 thing in an interview with Gary Morris in a Texas paper.) It's still WAY too early to know about casting yet. Don't worry I'll make sure to keep you informed. Have you signed up to get the email updates on the website?
I still can't wait to see Elton John sitting in a box with W. I wonder if Elton brought his boyfriend. Anyone know? Isn't that the event, if he did? I always expected Elton to pull an Eartha Kitt (you older posters who remember Nam, 'splain...)
Darn it Auggie, did you have to go and add controversy to this event!!!! (Actually I am suprised more BWWers haven't shared their feelings yet.)

No, I really thought I was going nuts. I kept going through the PBS schedule to see if the program was coming on, and I never saw it. Oy.
Okay, off to watch it now.
Is it me or is Brian Stokes Mitchell doing his Michael Jackson Impression . It is either that or he has a ton of make up on

Oh no, President Bush is sitting in the same box as a bisexual man! And all of the honorees are wearing rainbow colors!
Mr Roxy- some may read what you've written as offensive.
Have you met Stokes? Hes pretty light skinned up close, I don't think he was pulling a "Michael Jackson"

Did Stokes sing? I totally missed that part. Ugh! I'm so mad. What did he sing? I heard a little of Audra, she was good!
No matter what you say these days, you will offend someone
We have become incredibly thin skinned & cannot say anything ( no matter how innocous) without offending someone. So much for free speech. It was a comment & if people get their knickers in a twist I cannot help it.
If anyone was offended, I apologize. I guess there really is no free speech. Oh well. Silly me

Say what you want, but comments like that are gonna make you look like an ass.
Could someone PLEASE answer me. Did Stokes sing and what?
After being ripped previously by others for nothing, I couldn't care less. I am tired of being afraid of making a statement. I am Catholic & people rip the hell out of Catholics in general & that is OK but make an innocous statement & people get their bowels in an uproar.
I made a statement. It was not intended as anything but some thin skinned people got their nipples in a twist & I apologized (even though I did nothing wrong )to keep peace. If that still is not enough tough
As far as I concerned, the case is closed. If you want to beat a dead horse, be my guest. If I offended some by saying I condone beating of dead horses, be my guest.
Audra sang(beautifully might I add), but unfortunately Stokes didnt.
Thank you for being kind enough to answer my question.
Is that Heather Headley? Does anyone else think she has sort of an ape mouth?

How great would it be if she sang something from Aida?!
Heather Headley looked gorgeous!
I agree NCguy! Everyone looked teary eyed.
To bad Elton didn't kiss his lover on camera and tell Bush to screw himself.
That would make my day.
