EW.
I know the Gaga on Broadway keeps coming up, but she definitely has some extra incentive now.
I think we’re more likely to see her produce a Tony-hopeful production than star in one. I love LG, but I don’t see her collecting any more acting trophies, nor do I see her writing a full score to a musical.

Did I miss something! How does this relate to the post!
I didn’t know we counted Sports Emmys in EGOT, although I admit I don’t pay attention to Sports Emmys. Once upon a time, people didn’t want to count Whoopi as an EGOT winner because her Emmy was a Daytime Emmy.
Lady Gaga has an Emmy for music direction, and no one has won a Tony for music direction since 1964. They really need to change that.
Cynthia Erivo’s Emmy is for a musical performance on The Today Show and her Grammy Award was simply for being part of the cast on the cast recording of THE COLOR PURPLE, so there’s that.

Same goes for Ben Platt for Dear Evan Hansen (Emmy for a talk show performance, and Grammy for he album).
I also don't believe there shouldn't be a difference in those people who have an EGOT where one of the awards was given without competition...ie. Liza's Grammy is a Lifetime Achievement, or Streisand's Tony was for "Star of the Decade"

Your use of “simply” here is laughable. Erivo still has an Emmy and a Grammy, regardless of this blatant attempt to undermine it.
Whoopi’s Tony in her EGOT is for producing. That doesn’t make her any less of an EGOT winner. There’s no ruling that states you can only be a “true” EGOT if all four awards are for performance in a specific capacity.

This is the last thing she'll do. She recently said in an interview that'd she love to write an original musical. I can absolutely see her taking the Cyndi Lauper/Kinky Boots route easily, writing all new music.
No way will she pay for her EGOT like JHUD.
A Sports Emmy?

For her Super Bowl Half-Time show performance.

She has nothing to do with this post and you've just described hundreds of people that won for a performance on television and also the Grammy. Weird you'd single her out.
Brody saying something ignorant and idiotic? I’m shocked…

Unsure why you’re singling out Jennifer Hudson for having a Tony for producing when there are others who’ve done the same.
And I’m aware of what Gaga said she wanted, but what I’m saying is I think we’re more likely to see her earning that Tony with a producing credit. It’s not shameful to earn it that way, and I doubt it’s “the last thing she’ll do.”

Never said it was shameful, but let's be real, anyone with money can tack their name onto a producing credit and win a Tony if they want to. It just isn't the same.
If you know anything about the way Gaga works, she's not going to pay her way to EGOT status.
You also claimed you can't see her writing a whole score? But lesser known artists (Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson) have taken that onto their plate. She's more than capable of doing so, and clearly wants to.

You lobbing another personal insult and America’s Sweetheart being condescending? Double shocker!

And for the record, I singled out Jennifer because she's certainly talented enough to win a Tony without producing. As is Gaga. Getting one from producing isn't shameful, but it's certainly a cop out.

It was for her performance during the Super Bowl pregame show.
I think the most likely scenario she wins a Tony Award would be for producing or writing a show. However, I would love to see her in a golden age musical revival directed by Jamie Lloyd. Let’s say… The Sound of Music?
