Yes, you're "allowed" your opinion possitive, even though you never saw the actual performance as a ticket buyer. You just admitted you were skulking around the lobby and/or watched a bootleg. I think some of us simply find it very strange that you're on this mission to destroy some nobody in the chorus. Again, let me remind you, you're the only one giving her ANY play and it's so funny to me that you and the people you're catering to (that's pretty darn obvious too) don't get that simple truth.
If you see it as destroying then im sorry thats how you view it.
I have very strong opinions agaist her from the way i have seen her treat myself and my friends, and i had heard she wasnt that amazing of a performer. Thats why i glady admitted that she did a decent job from what i saw AFTER i saw the videp.
Giving her props here, and you pepple cant get over what i said before i saw the video and had only heard her from where i was standing...
I Support the Kate Shindle/Richard H. Blake Take Over New Jersey Plan!
Clumsy: if you haven't seen it yet you should totally check out Kate's new blog Shindle's List (shindleslist.blogspot.com), I think her writing's hilarious! And there's a link to her Fox "After the Show Show" appearance on there too. But she had me with her entry about the sex at Blonde from the other night, "and we tell on you"- lol.
i doubt anyone knows, but does anyone know who will be Serena tomorrow? i'm sad to hear it probably won't be Tracy, I was looking forward to seeing her cause she was out last time I went...but I'd love to catch Becky in the role!
According to broadwayunderstudies.com: "-- 01.30.07: Becky Gulsvig will be playing the role of Elle Woods in LEGALLY BLONDE from February 27th - March 1st."
But LBB's vacation dates were stated as: "february 27th-march 2nd." Soooo... does this mean that there is a chance of Haven playing Elle on that Sunday March 2nd?
Just relying on what I wrote down, it's Feb. 27-Mar. 1, but I didn't go to Laura's MySpace or anywhere to double check. And it seems weird that she wouldn't just go ahead and take that Sunday (March 2) off too.
If she's out through March 2, my guess is that Haven might play Elle. Someone had mentioned she would probably do it in March sometime (before Laura announced her dates.)
I'm sad Tracy is out, since I'll be seeing the show this weekend, but I'm anxious to see Cara (if she's still playing Serena on Saturday.)
I just checked Laura Bell's myspace and it does say "Feb. 27th - March 2nd."
Unless it was just a typo on broadwayunderstudies that says Becky will be on through the 1st? If not, maybe Haven could possibly be playing Elle on that day? hmmm.
LBB is out through the 2nd. I do believe Haven Burton is being given the last two shows and will be going on as Elle...I'm excited to see it.
LBB wasn't supposed to be out again today so I'm confused but I bet a lot of people are sad they missed another shot of Becky/Andy so here's to hoping she was out again tonight for all the people that wanted to see that. Still curious why she was still out though...

How many times have they gone on opposite each other? They had huge energy today, the show is completely different seeing it with two different leads. (This was my 3rd time plus MTV) Andy wasnt as good at Christian but the chemistry was there. I loved Becky her facial expressions and emotions are great compared to LBB who runs through the show with a blank emotionless stare. Cara didnt do it for me. Im so used to the high energy performances of Tracy and Leslie that Cara, while good just wasnt as good.
Thanks for the review myManCape- no clue how many times they've gone on opposite each other, (I know I've seen them at least twice myself), but I agree that Becky!Elle and Andy!Emmett are such a great u/s pairing, I love watching the two of them on stage together.
So, after seeing the show last night, I have to say, if you haven't seen Andy Karl as Emmett, RUN, don't walk to the theatre tonight or tomorrow. He, in my opinion, should be playing the role full-time, and was completely fantastic last night, as he always is. His voice is so strong, and I find it more pleasant to listen to than Christian's, and his acting...he had me near tears during the "Legally Blonde" ballad. Absolutely amazing performance.
And just something else worth mentioning, Orfeh was on FIRE last night. I mean, she is ALWAYS amazing, but anyone who was there last night can agree that she was HILARIOUS, and especially good. Actually, the whole cast seemed to be very high-energy, it was a great show.
I wish Andy was doing Sunday's performances! I'm not sure how to feel about seeing Noah's replacement, when I loved Noah in the role of Emmett so much.
:sigh:
How is Matthew Risch as Kyle? Do he and Orfeh have nice chemistry?

Judging by Bryce in his ensemble roles, he's going to be great. I hear he has a great voice, and he does look a bit like Luke Wilson. I think he's got good comedic timing, so I'm really interested to see how he does with it :)

He's very different as Kyle, nothing like Andy, but I think he's good. I mean, it's one of those cases (for me), that it's a very clear understudy performance, and the lines don't REALLY fit him that well.... (He's CLEARLY not Irish, which always rubbed me the wrong way, since Paulette's dream is to marry an Irish guy, and if Matthew is on...she's not really getting that, so that always confuses/bothers me) but I think he does the best job he can with it. I particularly like him as Dewey though, and he has some great line readings ("Paulette, what's going on?" as Kyle, and "It's your birthday!" as Dewey were VERY funny).
Thank you Kelly2 for that. Hm. I couldn't imagine ANY one else as Kyle but Andy, so it would be interesting to see someone else's take on the character.
Hm, I will be interested to what Bryce brings to the role, I am going in completely in the dark about him, so it should be interesting. Like when I saw NoahEmmett! I was totally in love with Noah as Aaron, and he was just so wonderfully amazing as Emmett, so it was like ..And why is he NOT Emmett full time?
