And so apparently Dani Spieler is a new swing (?)- are they finally going to have three female swings, or does this mean something for LNC or Tiffany?

Dani, who is a fabulous performer, is the Vacation Swing.

Depending on who takes off on vacation, Dani would either fill in as THE company's Swing or, if needed, Dani could be a Sorority girl/ensemble member.

when I say "sorority girl", I am NOT referring to the three main girlies.

She is in another Broadway show. They haven't announced she's leaving yet, which is probably why you haven't heard.

Christian Borle was out today- Andy!Emmett both the matinee and evening shows today. And just as a general fyi, at about 1:30pm there were still rush tickets left for both shows today.


Do any of you know *when* the new Brooke will be starting? I have heard that starting on April 9th there will be Kitty!Brooke for two weeks and then Beth!Brooke for one week before the new Brooke starts, or I have also heard that there will be Kitty!Brooke for one week and then Beth!Brooke for one week before the new Brooke starts. Either way I am excited for the chance to see Beth!Brooke again, since I missed her during Nikki's vacay, but I'm curious as to when exactly the new Brooke will be starting.

^^ It's kinda hit or miss, usually rush tix would be gone by that time, but at about 1:40pm today I got the last tix for the 2pm matinee, and there were still evening tix left. But then again contrast that with I've gotten to the box office at 10:30am on a weekday and they're already all sold out. *shrug*

And I know we'll see about the Brooke info once the new Brooke is announced, but I'm just supercurious if she is in fact not starting on the 9th or not.

Considering the new Brooke is still in another show...I doubt she is starting on the 9th since she hasn't even announced she's leaving.

This is angering me she is leaving in less than a week with not even announcement on BWW that she is leaving or who will replace her even though everyone knows that she is. I'm seeing it on April, 23 I want to know who it is.

My educated guess prediction for the new Brooke: Mary Birdsong

Given that until this morning it was not announced she was leaving hairspray the timing seems spot on

Mary is leaving to film the new season of Reno 911, the taping was dealayed due to the strike, she had time to do Hairspray.

Some news to share with you all!

First is Nicolette will be playing her final performance in RENT on Sunday, May 4th.

So come on over to the Nederlander before then to catch her on!

However, Nicolette is joining the cast of Legally Blonde as Brooke Wyndham starting Wed, May 7th!

I really hated her Maureen, but hopefully she'll be better in this. Who knows.

Well, she was great in Wedding Singer as Holly from what I heard and then I heard her Maureen was not so good...so its a toss up. She definitely has the look and the energy and I can imagine her singing it...although she's got some tough shoes to fill.

I don't particularly love her Maureen, but I can totally picture her as Brooke. I think she will be great! I had thought way before Nikki was ever leaving that Nicolette (that's confusing haha) would be a great replacement for her if she were to leave. I'm excited to see her!

She was the most underwhelming Maureen I ever saw and I've seen more than my share but Brooke isn't as taxing a role other than physically, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.
