I love the Michelle Kittrell pictures.....

I think April Berry is on vacation this week so Dani Spieler is playing either her track or Beth's and the new swing Casey Leigh Thompson was brought on to cover the other track, and of course LNC and Tiffany are still there, so swings abound on Legally Blonde. Anyone taken a snapshot of the sub board lately?

Yeah, that's true. It's supposed to be something like 100 pounds for 5 feet, 105 for 5'1", 110 for 5'2", etc.

On last night (April 23):

Jason Gillman as Warner
Matthew Risch as Kyle/Dewey
Rod Harrelson as Grandmaster Chad, Padamadan and Carlos (hilarious)
Lindsay Nicole Chambers as Pforzheimer (the Harvard admissions guy)...she was awesome.
Nick Kenkel as Nikos

Dani Spieler was on for April, as well. I thought Beth Curry did a really, really good job as Brooke. I haven't seen anyone else as Brooke, but I think Beth could do it full-time.

Also, everyone seemed like they were trying to crack each other up...very cute and it's nice to see that they are still having fun after almost a year (!!)

She's not on broadwayunderstudies.com for it, (she's only listed thru 4/27), but fyi apparently Beth is going on as Brooke for next week too.

She looked super cute, wearing glasses. During the beginning of the dance sequence, she just acted really uncomfortable and like she was embarrassed by the dance moves they were doing, but then once everyone kind of gets into it, the Delta Nu girls were trying to teach her how to dance. It was very cute....and really not something you would notice if you hadn't seen the show before.

Dani Spieler was on - she has a lot of energy, I enjoyed her a lot

Beth Curry as Brooke- ouch...
sorry if you disagree..I wanted to like her, but couldn't

I'll echo the praise for Lindsay Nicole Chambers in the Harvard Admission track. She was a delight. I actually prefer the role played by a female.

Lindsay was super good as Penny in the 'spray, as well!

To see or not to see Beth tomorrow, hmmmm.

Here is my review from the Wed. matinee

Apr. 23, 2008 2:00 PM matinee

Jason Gillman was on as Warner
Matthew Risch was on as Dewey/Kyle
Rod Harrelson was on as Grandmaster Chad/Padamadan/Carlos
Lindsay Nicole Chambers was on as Pforzheimer
Tiffany Engen was on as the DA
Nick Kenkel was on as Nikos

I'll just do a break down by person.

Laura- She sounds like she is still getting over her cold, she cracked a little during "Omigod" but after that she was pretty good.

Jason- I think that he was a really good Warner, his singing was awesome.

Tracy, Asmeret, & Haven- I liked Tracy AND Asmeret surprising, BUT Haven I really did not like her she kept cracking I didn't like her "Ghettoness" I found it really annoying, and her wig was the biggest mess.

Orfeh- Awesome, she did a little riff on MissSSSty Breeze during "Ireland".

Beth- She was a very good Brook, and she wasn't treated as an undersudy, instead she was in the playbill aas Brooke. She really did "Whipped" very well.

Kate- She was too good, she did the note at the end of "Remix" that she did on MTV.

Matthew- I really liked him as Kyle/Dewey I think he was better that Andy.

Christian- Pretty good not really much to say.

Michael- good, same as Christian.

Notes:
- Did they start using A LOT of blue in the lights?
- Kevin said during WYW Personal RESUME instead of Essay.
- Asmeret said "Please tell me their the fun size."
- Rod made this really funny sound during "There Right There"
- Kate did the BC/EFA speech, they were selling signed poster, also they were selling Elle's scented Resume signed by Laura Bell. When Natalie came out to give Kate the resume, Kate said "You also get Natalie Joy Johnson" and Natalie did a little jump kick thing.
