Tumblr can provide you with some insight if you missed the holy moment.

Yeah, Matt Doyle doesn't seem to think before Instagramming...

^Well, to be fair, he said he was drunk for the shower pic, but I'm very glad he posted it.

The only two from the London production who have come over are Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull) and Lauren Ward (Miss Honey).
Actually, one of the kids is from the London production!

It's only illegal if you get caught.
Does that apply to any crime?

Can someone post a song list if they get the chance? I'm curious if there have been any songs added or cut.

^Me too. I'd love to know what changes to the score are going to go unrecorded.

Have they already decided not to record this like Billy Elliott?

^I assume not since they're already re-releasing the OLC with the Broadway artwork on the cover.

They haven't made an announcement one way or the other, but with two leads recreating their roles and what I'm guessing are going to be minimal changes to the score (I doubt we'll see any new songs, and the only song that is on the recording I could see getting dropped is "Telly") I would put my money on there not being a new recording done.

Yes, when i saw Matilda in London, "Telly" was the first song in Act 2. This instagram picture is just of the songs in Act 1.

Yeah, Telly is in Act 2, not Act 1. But, I won't be crushed if they removed it. It's a pointless song.

Ooo I saw that kid in London. He was great. So tiny and adorable.
And Telly acts as a subtle opener, while people are filing back in, if I remember rightly.

I forbid this thread from continuing until someone shares the shower picture.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Normal message board activity may now resume.

On the train now, so will post briefly. Show is in great shape and definitely the front runner for the Tony!! Bertie Carvel is a lock and deserves it, simply awesome! Oona Laurence was also in great shape. Had my issues with some of the pacing towards the end, but overall a wonderful night in the theater! Feel free to ask any other questions and I'll do my best to answer!

I loved every moment of it. There were a few sound issues and few dropped props that I noticed but everything ran very smooth for a first run. I thought it was brilliant.

Ps: was Telly the number with Mr. Wormwood and his son? If it was then yes it was in the show.
