Unfortunately, on my work computer--yep, I admit it-- it's not possible to download a blocker.
The one bugging me is the White Castle ad on the right (not the banner ad at the top). If my cursor gets anywhere near it, it expands to cover half the screen. I can close it manually, but it's a pain.
The "click here to close" ad is popping up everytime I open a new page or go back a page and sometimes it takes a minute for it to appear, and when I finally and able to click to close it, it takes me back to the top of the page.
I can't escape the 'Click Here to Close' ad on my mobile device. Every single time I try to open a thread, or click on anything, it pops up. When I close it, it takes me back to the home page, not back to where I was.
And, agree, the White Castle pop-over ad is too intrusive.

Are the security checks -- asking us to type in what is usually a photograph of a house number -- entirely random? As likely in IE and Chrome? I had them for a week, then they disappeared, and they are back today. I lost a long post in the "Zorba" thread trying to reload.

When of the best things about the BWW revamp was toolbar for italsicizing and bolding and adding pictures and whatnot, but a few weeks ago it disappeared from me when I use BWW on my desktop and I've never gotten it back. Does anyone else have this problem?
Same problem. The toolbar appears for me intermittently, but I can't reproduce or predict it.
Rob, can you also please make URLs automatically clickable? When this toolbar doesn't appear, the auto-linking after hitting space/return doesn't work either.

Rob - Two quick things you may or may not be aware of:
The first is an intermittent issue in which the HTML formatting menu (File, Edit, Insert, View etc. and Bold, Italics, Underline etc.) disappears. It seems to happen most often when replying to a thread. There's an easy workaround. If you simply use the "Preview" function, the preview window restores all of the formatting menus, but from some of the posts on here it doesn't seem like everyone realizes this. Again, it is an intermittent issue, so probably requires some testing. That's beyond my paygrade.
Secondly, would you consider adding an IP checker to the board on your next big update? Many messageboards have this type of function. You click a button and all the other posters/members using the same IP will be highlighted. This could serve multiple purposes that benefit both you and the BWW community:
• It could cut down on spam
• It would allow you to, on those rare occasions when necessary, more effectively ban someone from the board.
• It would discourage shilling from obvious marketing interns at various productions - who are, let's face it, trying to get free advertising on your site without paying for it.
• It would help reduce tired, boring in-fighting between BWW members that I'm sure discourages people to visit the board or to cut their BWW visits short. Like most sites that depend upon advertising revenue, I'm sure that site stickiness is becoming increasingly valuable to you and your clients.
• It would discourage the creation of multiple user accounts; something which affects all of the above issues.
The newly revamped visual editor loses much of the functionality of the old one, including the ability to embed YouTube clips. Please reinstate the old visual editor.
I've only been on here a few months, but why is there not a "delete post" or "delete reply" option? Seems like it would make sense if you make an accidental posting, or a number of other reasons...
I'm having a weird problem where my posting status thing ("Broadway Star," "Broadway Legend," etc.) keep changing. Now I'm always listed as whatever the poster above me is. (right now it says I'm a Broadway Legend because the poster above me is a Broadway Legend).
I checked my posting count and it looks like it just passed 1000, so I should have become a Broadway Legend today.
Not that it's really that important to me, but I figured I should point out the glitch.
