NEW IDOL THREAD -BROADWAY SONGS

Just turned this on to catch that last number. Have they all been this bad? Why do these singers feel the need to do vocal masturbation and add 17 notes where there is only one. That rendition of One Hand, One Heart had a decent enough orchestration with the guitar being prominent but the over vocalizing at the end made me want to vomit. I can only imagine the millions of viewers being turned off from musicals by the second.

"Oh. That's what those Broadway shows sound like? Thanks. I'll pass"

No wonder Mamma Mia sells out nightly. And I'm not even bashing the show, but sheesh!

I think I'm going to quit Musical Theatre....However, I do take pride in thanking Carrie and the rest of the girls for not singing ROSE'S TURN....i mean seriously you all, we've discovered the majority of these are untalented in the MT depart. but I mean imagine if they had dared to do like really tough songs.....Nadia doing Lott's Wife (Caroline or Change)? Just be thankful they're going for the low key stuff...

"Hey was that just Dick Martin from Laugh-In they showed in the audience just before going to commercial?"

No it was Neil Sedaka.

pab answered my question with "No it was Neil Sedaka."

Oh.duh. Thanks, pab! That at least makes sense.

Neil and Dick must've been separated at birth. lol

No, Bo.....NO!!! Close your eyes, stick out a finger, and point to Pippin on the page.

On behalf of Bob Fosse, I am offended.

Isn't Simon promoting a group of classical tenors?

This guy chose a song by just dropping his finger on the page? Actually, Corner of the Sky isn't being done awfully. Hope he makes all the notes
