The Cinema Italiano clip was only mildly satisfying, but I LOVED "A Call from the Vatican". My god, am I excited for this movie!
"There's nothing good on. The media hates Christmas. The media loves vampires, though. Maybe they will show a Twilight Christmas." -Danmeg's 10 year old son.
I keep watching both of the clips over and over. I'm so excited to see this film! And I'm mildly addicted to Cinema Italiano. It's been stuck in my head for the past 2 days.

Send in the clowns...Send in the crowds!
"I prefer neurotic people. I like to hear rumblings beneath the surface."-Stephen Sondheim
The intro is a tad long, but I'm sure it will work on film. Also, it sounds very "studio" at times. In other words, auto toned. Again, I'm sure that was done for a reason. It's a very contrasting song to the rest of the score. She sounds wonderful and I love the melody. I'm very excited.
Hudson's voice is fantastic, and this song is a great addition to the score.
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
This song makes me dance. I can imagine it being a big production number, and from the looks of it Kate Hudson truly lights up the camera in this number. Simply wonderful. Her voice rocks my world. Cannot wait. It seems to be one of the highlights of the film...but then again, every clip of a number released seems to be the highlight of the film, which reminds me of CHICAGO. Sorry but is it too soon to say this is bound to be one of the great movie musical adaptations?
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
Though I'm not a fan of the CHICAGO movie (the central metaphor of the piece being theatrical rather than filmic), NINE really excites me (since the subject matter here is film).
The clips so far look fantastic. My only sadness: cutting 'Be On Your Own', which seems a little like CATS cutting 'Memory'.
I love the whole feel of "CINEMA ITALIANO", especially since it provides the same contrast that "FOLIES BERGERE" provided in the original Broadway production - big flashy Broadway-style number, then immediately goes back to dark brooding. In this case, we have a number that swings with all the verve of Bacharach and pop of Mancini, as well as the thrilling boom-boom bass that MOULIN ROUGE provided us with eight years ago -- I love this song, and I think it works.
"How could she just suddenly, completely disappear into thin water?" - The Little Mermaid
Couldn't agree more, Brody. This and "Be Italian" have indeed been playing nonstop on my iTunes/iPod. It's just a wonderful track and I sure would love to dance to it at a club
