Is page 11 not showing up for anyone else? I can see it when I hit "reply" but if I'm just looking at the thread page 11 doesn't exist.

Various NBC outlets are reporting "No Chance" and their source is that unnamed family friend. I wonder if that family friend will remain a family friend after this.

Page 11 wasn't showing up when I looked before, but it is now.

As for that "friend" who is speaking to the press -- I doubt i's a close friend of the family. I find it hard to believe that a good friend would betray a trust by speaking to the press when not authorized to do so.

"The New York Post" is saying the same thing, that she's brain dead. Nothing is confirmed yet.

Saw her in "Cabaret" back in June 1998. She was beyond brilliant!!! A performance that is so etched in my mind...all these years later, I remember it, as if it just happened earlier today.

Saw her again in 2005 in "Streetcar" at Studio 54. Again, she was amazing!

Liz Smith is reporting the life support machine has been switched off. This is devastating. Hopefully it is not true.

A lot of the smaller media outlets and blogs are running with Smith's report but no major outlet has picked up on it. Could it be that they're waiting for an offical release from the family as opposed to these "a friend of the family" reports? Could the major media be acting respectfully?

One can only hope that major media will continue to respect the family's wishes.

This need to be the first to post every rumor is really unpleasant. The family is requesting to be left alone. Can't we do that?

I'm really hoping this is all a hoax, that nothing ever happened to her. Such a brilliant performer. Let's pray for a miracle

For some reason this event has really gotten to me. I don't know if any of you know of Stan Rogers but the last verse/chorus to his song "Mary Ellen Carter" has just been repeating in my head constantly.

This is such a horrible tragedy.

The glowing memories many of us have of her indelible performances will help keep her memory alive.

The world has lost a truly beautiful talent and a glorious human being.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
